I always thought it was the throttle body opening when it makes that noise. Just the right angle of the blade when the engine is sucking in air and it makes a whistle noise. Idk could be completely wrong just a theory. Mine does it to by the way.
My speedo has been off 2-3 mph just like yours since the first day, don't know why always bugged me but never really looked into it. Would be curious if anyone ever found out why though.
Ok thanks that makes me feel a little better. One other question what kind of friction modifier did you use, the full synthetic oil I used and others that I looked at said they had a friction modifier in them and would work in a limited slip, do I still have to add a separate modifier in my 2012.
This is my front diff oil, I know everyone says it looked milky when they changed it but I thought it would look grey or silver like in the OP's pic not brown, is this normal or a result of me going through some deep water. Which makes me ask, does anybody know how high up the front diff vent...
That's a good idea idk why I didn't think of that. I did that with my Polaris ranger when I did the rear diff on it and couldn't get the drain plug out. I wanted to change my front diff fluid out on my truck but couldn't get the skid plate off. I had the one bolt that has the clip in the frame...
I just noticed my tailgate had a bunch of play in it that it didn't have before also. Didn't really notice anymore gap between the tailgate and bedside. I didn't think I would ever need the bed stabilizers since I don't really do any frame twisting type off-roading, but I guess she's just...
Thanks for the write up, this opens up more options for all of us. I have been researching rear leafs for awhile now, and haven't been impressed with longevity or price. Did you happen to talk about an HD version, I am looking to run 350-400 pounds in the back.
It is a 2012. And I am also coming from mid perch with stock springs back to bottom perch with the progressive springs. I would say that the truck sits damn near the same as it did at mid perch with these new springs on bottom perch. I would also x2 everything you said about the ride and...
Mine are right at 24.5 as well. Only had them on for a few days. Was wondering should you be able to compress your shocks with the coils off or not. Mine would not budge with me leaning on them with all my weight. I have read that if you compress the rear shocks and they don't rebound back that...
I have a question for anybody that has taken these springs off-road, do you think that it helps the front end soak up pot holes or small whoops any better at speed? And If you have a system like an rpg stage 3 or 4 rear end, does it help the front end keep up with the rear any better at all. The...
Damn wish I would have seen this thread before I bought the v gate from craven speed, that thing is junk and over priced. I guess I will try the cheapo elm 327 off ebay for 15 bucks.
So I have a question for anybody that runs with a spare in the bed and under it in the stock location. Do you all have the HD springs and feel that you needed them. I recently added a rack and got a second spare and I am worried now that I can't run them both because I only have the SD springs...
Alright thanks I will have to check the dashmat I have the same thing with the center tray and speaker. And I bought the same exact wipers maybe I put them on wrong.
What size wipers did you get I got 22a and b because that's what the book at the store said but mine stick out worse then yours. Also where did you get that carpet to go over your dash, I need that I can't stand the glare of the plastic. Thanks
Have only had them on since the end of winter. But no issues with anything getting to hot yet. Have had her out in a few 90 degree days bombing around my usual trails, but with the way my trails are setup here I can only beat on it for about 5-10 minutes then have to cruise to a different...
Yeah didn't realize they were going to be quite that big when I ordered them, but they throw light to the next county so I said screw it. I also like to walk up those guys with those 20 dollar lights on there grill guard from Walmart. Ask how bright they must be, and how cool they are. Then I...
Got my BI-xenon Morimoto Mini D2S 3.0 Projectors with the Apollo 3.0 shrouds with the 100 mm amber rings inside the shrouds painted and installed. Think they turned out pretty good for $500-550 and an afternoon of my time.
Mine started shuddering and making aweful noises about a month ago, but when I looked in the track I saw I had a bunch of dirt and crap in it. So I just cleaned it out the best I could and sprayed some lube that goes on wet then dries so that it would hopefully not collect as much stuff. It...
This may be a little off topic but I just put a second spare in my vertical tire rack and have been wondering how long you should leave them back there. I know the standard spare under normal trucks sit there for years. I wonder how much of the life of the tire is lost sitting out in the sun...
Me to damn it, I was pretty sure I would the moment this thread was started but was trying to save my money For other stuff that I don't need. It really sounds like this tune will solve all the problems I have with my current tune though.
Put a second spare in the back and put on some reverse/dust lights. And getting ready to re-do my headlights with the TRS complete FX-R bi-xenon kit, with the 100 mm amber halos behind the Apollo 3.0 shrouds. Hope it's not to much harder then the Minis were.
