They got additional allocations and had another draw. Additionally, they had people cancel. Congrats on your raptor btw.
I just got back from Okinawa, Japan yesterday.
Congrats on your raptor btw.
yeah, now that i'm old and don't have time to mod my vehicles, i avoid mods, except the oil catch cans. Once you pull an engine apart at 200,000 miles, and see what can go through it (esp a turbo car) you will want one. FYI the Ford performance Racing school puts them on their cars because they...
It looks terrible IMO. Worse is that it adds unnecessary complexity without any real function. I imagine overtime that plastic will get sun damaged, begin to rattle after a few years, and possibley crack. Gen 1 tailgate was my favorite looking tailgate I've ever seen on a truck. I will miss it.
you are suppose to re torque aluminum wheels after the first few thousand of miles. They settle and loosen up slightly. I think 100ft lbs is probably still good to go.
I get my oil change at North County Ford. They are the first Ford service department I have ever had a good experience with. Haven't been able to buy a vehicle from them yet though.
1. If you make 100k a year and 100k in savings, why not just buy it outright and saved like 3000-5000 dollars in interest.
2. If you have great credit score, shop around for you loan. Once you pull your credit score for a vehicle, you can shop around for 3 weeks and have any bank pull your...
I've owned two Japanese(Titan and Tacoma) trucks and 3 Japanese cars(Mitsubishi, Nissan, and Toyota). I have also owned many American trucks and American cars and trucks. I'm not claiming hard facts, just my strong opinion (which is pretty close to factual). In the last 10 years, American...
I hear if you drill a very small hole in the side of your gas tank, this popping will stop.

In reality if this happening right after refueling it's probably the evac system vapor vent valve. It's an emissions...
Lets say Ford produces 5000 Raptors this year. Of those 5,000 probably 1% have engine/transmission issues---that's 50 people-- of those 50 people there are 15 people who belong to this Forum and you KNOW if you have an issue with your special brand new vehicle, you are going to let the forum...
All those side exhaust systems are exhausts systems which are just forward of the rear wheels, which is also problematic for high centering . I just wish Ford offered the traditional f-150 side exhaust as an option from the factory. like the original Raptor.
Ok, I'm not sure everyone here treats their trucks like I do, but the rear exhaust is a huge problem for 4 wheeling. It's going to get squished a lot easier than if it was directly behind the tire. On my gen 1 I was always scraping the rear tow hooks, bumper, and trailer hitch reciever. On the...
I had a mustang blow up on me on a brand new mustang. Don't talk to the dealer about the solution, talk to a Ford Rep from their customer service hotline. Tell them what you want to have happen (don't be rude, jus tell them what you think should happen.) I did that my problem got solved very...
A refined sports car sound...REALLY? Let's not fool ourselves this a Ford pickup truck not a Porsche GT3 or a Ferrari. Even Gen v8 stock sound was just an ok- it had a nice refined "I come from a place where theres only stop light" sound. But yeah, I guess the gen 2 sound has a kind of...
Fords most likely course if action:
2018 will have a new wheel option and a color option. Headlights will be improved. Overall cost will increase by roughly 900 dollars.
2019 will OFFER the revised 5.0 as a lesser option to the 3.5 eco HO. The engine will have slightly higher advertised HP/TQ...
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some people LOVE the sound of biggish loggish stroke v8, some people love the sound of turbos and v6. To each his own. I never thought the Gen 1 Raptors v8 sound sounded good. It just had sounded like a v8 with a less restrictive muffler.
I had a 2012 ecoboost. Inside the intake tubing are two "vortex generators" Ford put them in their to reduce turbo intake noise. I had stuttering problems at idle too. I removed them and never had the issue again. I don't know if they are on the GEN 2 raptors, but it's worth a try.
Freaking beautiful. I couldn't decide on the forged black rims. I love the look of them, but in the end I went with the alloys because they are significantly lighter. First modification is to Plasti Dip them black.
Did you level your truck?
