Evil manufacturing and camburg both hand mid travel kits that aren’t that wide. Evil is 2” wider than stock. Camburg is 1.5” wider. Then run adv or McNeil +2 so you keep it from getting too wide. That would the a good compromise
They give you a formula for making a wet spray. Then use a squiggy to push out the bubbles and water once you have placement. I did mine at night and the alignment on one is a tiny bit closer to the middle than the other. That was me being impatient and not doing it during the day.
Yea. My wife bought me a bullet antenna. Have issues with it not rattling against my sdhq a pillar mounts. Took it off. But I want to put it back on as it was a gift from my wife. And I’m former Navy so..
I live in NJ. Drive here and there in NYC, and I don't need 2 billion lumens of lights.. hell you don't even need lights here. just drive without and you got enough street lights to blind your ass.
Tow rating is 8000 pounds, so I would take whatever the tongue weight is, say 500 or 600 and deduct that from the Payload of the truck and that's how much you can carry in the cab with you. That's the best way to really calculate it. Also it's best to use a WDH above 6k trailer weight. I...
How much gear do you plan to use. I just had 500 plus pounds in my truck with icon leafs at option 2 which is the add a leaf but swapped with the softer leaf. Not added on top. And with 2.25” front lift it still had a half inch rake with all that in there. I run with my Leitner rack, fsr aspen...
Keep us posted. I was looking into rpg, camburg, rhf, evil mfg (looks like no longer available) but I think this one is might be in the running or on top. Right width, I like the placement and geometry and it’s priced well with competition.
Looking to get settled for my trip in August,
- need a jack (harbor freight or pro eagle)
- power tank setup
- rotopax fuel (2 or 4 gallon)
- Garmin Inreach
- Will add to list once I get it settled.
Thanks
Located in North New Jersey, would like to get the bigger items by locals rather...
Looks like a ronin factory build where they just used spacers instead of Mid/Long travel to fill out the Deberti fenders. Agreed on making sure the components don't get overstressed up front. Change out the Tie rods while you are at it to RPG/SVC or someone else so it at least will keep the...
Just for reference. Got my icons set to option 2 today. Installed. I have a Leitner rack with two gearpods and a 37” spare in the bed. About 250 pounds. Rear is sitting at just under 45”. Once tent, jack and cO2 bottle go in. Will be about 450. Should settle to 44” and have 1” inch rake.
Ride...
Don't you have to add an aftermarket bumper just to get two hooks to these tundras? I have seen a couple with level kits running 40s and no bumper changes, which I think is insane and not sure how it's possible, but other than that, they aren't that much cheaper and I would rather already have...
I probably could have done it that way. Depends on bolts and how the fit the brackets.
I just drilled holes for all three brackets. I had to take wheels off in back to get the back two easily. Front wasn’t as hard.
