I used the Raptor brand roll on liner. Removed the tires, masked the shocks, lightly scuffed the paint and applied with a roller and a small paint brush. Took about 2 hours total. Fairly easy to do, cost was $120.
I have never had a problem with the cap coming off or snagging, but I have a bed rug and it raises up about a 1/4" so everything is taller than the cap.
