It’s not hard, the as built coding lines you see quoted look much more complicated than they are.
there are plenty of YouTube intros, great how to docs, and lots of detail on exactly what to change and where.
If you aren’t going to use a new hvac module with the button
-can skip hvac changes (I am 95% sure on this one)
-Need to make apim changes to tell it that the vehicle now has a heated wheel
-Need to make sccm changes to tell the vehicle it has a heated wheel
(can steal these both from the pdf...
i think from reading reviews of the raptor R the answer is no, reviewers commented that the brakes were working no matter what the setting was, even specifically trying to donuts in 2wd on sand
Ford inexplicably removed quiet time for MY22, then brought it back in 23
Yea it’s weird but just look at your as built and and choose the new value that is the same plus quiet time enabled
Yes! Did it last night. Everything seems to be working correctly.
A few notes and a few takeaways to perhaps add to @MZRaptor post
General notes:
Did the boosted greygoose kit, sccm + hvac kit.
As has been the case with everyone else to date, had heated wheel and wiring harness already
The trim...
Two options i see
1) All that really needs to happen is the dealer decides to be helpful and agrees to sell it to you at MSRP and he (friend) releases the dealer in writing so they have something to show to ford then you do the paperwork just like any customer... sounds like the dealer is being...
Ouch tough spot. As you know the truck is fully repairable and sellable as brand new (probably for adm!). either way it’s getting fixed and sold to someone.
Depending on your urgency I would:
1)secure the next allocation even if it’s a 24 just to get on the board. If they are part of a multi...
Considering the adverse on road experience of the torsen (torque steer in 4A/4H) customer feedback might actually have balanced the scales to the math showing removal as an overall value add for the customer. Key assumption, the updated brake lock programming can give functionally “the same” off...
The only places I have seen it definitively stated that brake lock is taking the place of the torsen is the press for the raptor R. The context was always that the raptor R had too much power for the torsen to handle and ford had to engineer an alternative method replicating the torsen behavior...
Does anyone know if I have to enable bambi mode to use the fogs with glarefree? Was thinking it might be nessesary as glare free is a version of highbeams
So the takeaways here for those tackling in the upcoming weeks/months...
1) be careful in that particular corner not to lose/break that clip
2) check all trim pieces and dash after removal to ensure all clips removed properly, add replacements if any missing/broken
Awesome video,
QQ: any issue from not disconnecting the battery... obviously the airbag did not explode! but curious if it threw a few extra codes having parts connected and disconnected with power?
i noticed a few times it was helpful for you to have the seat/wheel adjustments available
Made by huffy, pretty sure exclusively sold thru walmart
They had 3 colors for sale at Christmas, made the obvious choice for my little guy knowing my order was scheduled
Great point, additionally MA law requires no prepayment penalty on loans.
@tonyp if you choose to go down this route I probably wouldn’t mention it to the dealer until right after you have the keys in your hand. Obviously would be a refi so might have to work with your financing to get it...
Oof that’s such trash behavior from the dealer, and so stupid not to even ask what int rate you are getting, it’s likely they could meet/best it and would have solved this in 2 seconds with a win/win
To your point this is exactly what the law is meant to prevent: a dealer agreeing to a sale...
