Can't speak for the long distance commute, but stopping and going on road/dirt/gravel is just fine. Little nose dive when braking if you leave it at stock perch.
I kept mine so if I ever sold the truck I would have it. Just a peace of mind thing for me. But my assumption would be that since there isn't a very high demand for these..to my knowledge.. that they wouldn't sell for much. After all they are just a thin sheet of metal. Maybe someone will chime...
