What did you do to your Raptor today? (Gen2)

Hit post by accident. Had a few more pics to share. Here was the beach to our right. And this was the view to our lieft. Once we got past everyone, there was plenty of room to open it up!! But I couldn't get too crazy since I still had the truck loaded with our gear. Didn't want to...

What did you do to your Raptor today? (Gen2)

Been cooped up too long! Decided to take her out to the beach, the "Lost Highway" which is out southwest from Houston. Entered the beach area near High Island which is the very eastern edge of Galveston county. Then headed east towards Beaumont. At the entrance to the beach and for about a...

    Sun Shade for Windshield

The Houston heat is around the corner. What are the best sun shades for putting up inside the windshield? I haven't seen a good large one in a while. Thanks

What did you do to your Raptor today? (Gen2)

Gave her a nice bath today. THere's been a lot of pollen in the air and she really needed it. Used Chemical Guys Snow Foam first, then followed that with Chemical Guys Citrus Wash and Gloss. Pressure washed the floor mats and vacuumed the interior. Then I used Mcguiar's Natural Shine on all...

I built some drawers under my rear seat

Very nice! And you can easily remove them if you need the entire backfloor space area for cargo or pets.

Is it safe to run for extended idle times??

Agree 100%. Unless you're stopped for very long periods at a traffic light or something similar, the MPG benefit has got to be in the noise. I'm much more concerned with the wear and tear caused by the constant stop/start cycles. So I disbale mine each time I get in. Will likely employ one...

Is it safe to run for extended idle times??

I have a 2019. I've let it idle for 10-15 minutes pretty regularly this past summer. I'd start the car from my office and let the car cool down from the hot Houston summer days. No issues whatsoever.

What did you do to your Raptor today? (Gen2)

Agreed! Several years ago we had the same situation with large gators sunning on the bank like these two. Back then we had the kids with us and fortunately we were riding bicycles. We walked our bikes past the gators and made sure to keep the bikes between us and them. That way we could toss...

What did you do to your Raptor today? (Gen2)

What type of dog? I can see small dogs looking very appetizing to the gators. There are signs all over saying to keep your pets on the trails. I'm sure a few dogs that get too close to them can get snapped up pretty easily. We have an Australian Sheperd that is almost 15 years old. He can't...

What did you do to your Raptor today? (Gen2)

Took the Raptor on a little camping trip to Brazos Bend State Park this past weekend. Always a fun park and they have some good trails to hike with a lot of wildlife. Usually these beasts are a little further away. But on this particular morning they decided to sun on the bank right next to...

    Houston

I was going to ask, where is the Lost Highway. Sounds similar to possibly the Padre Island National Seashore. From what I understand, there are 60-70 miles of natural beach area that you can pretty much drive around at any speed you care to. I have that place on my list to visit. The only...

    Houston

Yes, I'd say the perimeter trails are the easiest and you could get up some speed if you wanted. But they are marked with somethig like 25 mph limit. There are some pretty good interior trails that can take you up to the highest elevation in the park and you can get a pretty good view of the...

    Houston

Went up to Hidden Falls northwest of Austin last year. Had a lot of fun. It's not a place for going fast though. But they did have plnety of trails for Raptors. But the more aggressive trails were tight with tree branches ready to scratch the side of your truck. They had camping too which...

Is the 1100 W inverter in addition to the existing inverter? Or are you planning on replacing the 400 W with the 1100 W? I've toyed with the idea of replacing the 400 W with a larger inverter (1000 W or so) and then still use the existing power outlets that come stock. Would have to check...
