Where is the closest place to play with our Raptors close to Houston. Live on the north side of town. Thanks

I went to rally ready in Dale TX last week. It was fun. They have an open track day the first two weekends of the month, that they have not really advertised, so its pretty empty. I got there at ~10am and was the only one on track until after noon

Went up to Hidden Falls northwest of Austin last year. Had a lot of fun. It's not a place for going fast though. But they did have plnety of trails for Raptors. But the more aggressive trails were tight with tree branches ready to scratch the side of your truck. They had camping too which was nice.

That's on my list of places I want to visit. If I remember correctly, the exterior trails are built for trucks where the interior is more for ATVs?

There are stretches of beaches that you can drive on. The 'Lost Highway' is where I took the pic in my avatar. About 30 miles where it's relatively un-populated. Probably some topless-ness you don't want to see. It's not completely clean though, and I did see get some tar on the truck to deal with after.

Yes, I'd say the perimeter trails are the easiest and you could get up some speed if you wanted. But they are marked with somethig like 25 mph limit. There are some pretty good interior trails that can take you up to the highest elevation in the park and you can get a pretty good view of the hill country. Some of those interior trails are very rocky and fun to traverse. There's plemty of room for the Raptor on a good portion of the trails and you don't have to worry too much about the tree branches. Unless you're a member of the park, it is only open Thursday through Sunday. The key is to go up for Thursday and Friday morning before the weekend crowd shows up. We had the place to ourselves!! Here's a great pic that provides some perspective of what the park looks like.

We had fun on Thursday afternoon and then camped overnight. Then Friday morning we went out for some more fun. I found one of the trails towards the back of the park that had a pretty good hump. Since there was no one around, I was able to have a little fun with some jumps. My wife wanted no part in me getting some air......... She wanted out before I started the fun. I told her to take some video and pics. Here is a pic of one of my better jumps. Nothing major, but a lot of fun. Raptor was so smooth I wasn't even sure that I got air. I had to look at the video/pics to see that I actually did get some air!
