I commented on a post someone made with a similar issue. Their response was that the vehicle I chose wasn’t right for me…
That was helpful, productive, or assisted in the conversation in anyway?
But I made a bad first impression?
Maybe it hasn’t occurred to you, so I’ll spell it out. What I’m expressing is that it DOESN’T feel normal. It probably also hasn’t occurred to you that there may be an issue with some of these 24s. You don’t really seem to have anything useful to contribute to the conversation that is helpful to...
Yes that’s what I meant. I’ll have to lock again but I don’t recall seeing that lock on my seat. I only looked quickly but I may have missed it only looking at one side. Everyone else with a 24 have the lock?
It’s definitely quieter in quiet mode but it is there. I’ll have to work up a way to get it recorded. At one point is was often enough it made me thing it was bad gas. Then I remembered hearing it the night I picked it up on the drive home, still excited and enjoying the exhaust notes.
Thanks for your opinion. Having driven a Hellcat, a 250 diesel, and a suburban 2500 with Borla exhaust, I think I’m fine driving this truck.
It’s embarrassing yes. It pops randomly, always sounds a little different, sometimes almost like something is slamming around in the bed. This is not a...
Yes, it does it in all modes. It doesn’t seem like something that should be occurring. Frankly, it can be a little embarrassing. On my 6 mile drive yesterday in traffic, it did it nearly every time I let off the accelerator. It’s done it since my first drive with 12 miles on it.
I also don’t have This Trip. I was looking for it, never not had it before. I’ve driven a 23 Lightning that had it, 2016, F150 XLT that had it. It’s strangely missing from the 24.
I looked into those tow hooks but didn’t like they are red instead of CO, and I think the 24 802a and R tow hooks that come with the modular number are really nice. Squared off and beefier. So I order some Kuston Canz and will be painting them Code Orange.
I have this exact issue. It’s quieter in normal but definitely there. It does it many times in every single drive. Usually when you let off the throttle even if just barely accelerating. Sometimes it’s very very loud. It happened as I drove off the lot and hadn’t stopped in 1,500 miles. 2024 802a.
Right. But they would then have no way to mount, since they mount into the boxlink. And we know they won’t reach since the canister blocks the box link.
That’s why I mentioned it could be cut but you’d need to rig a “lower profile” way to extend the support to the boxlink.
Thank you!
Unfortunately, for anyone else with a RetraxPro or RetraxPro XR, the canister is 61.5” across and barely clears the two boxlink grab bars. So unless lower profile aluminum support brackets become available, this bar won’t fit. But I doubt anything could be made much slimmer since...
Any chance you could walk through a little more details? Getting ready to do the 2024. Also love your lower grille insert. I'd be looking to do that as well once a matching 24 is out. Care to share where you got it? Thanks!
OP, we would really appreciate if you could give us at least the measurement of space available between the rails. Then anyone with a in-bed, canister-style tonneau would know if the rails can clear the canister.
I have the same concern, but if you look at this post, https://www.f150forum.com/f118/oem-bed-rails-ll3z-2655200-a-535834/#post7376309 , you can kind of gauge that it doesn't stick too far out. I have the ford factory tie downs installed next on either side sandwiching the Retrax canister. While...
If you are dying to get a factory look in the bed, or just love having an excuse to have more tools, you can accomplish this with a Rivnut Kit. It lets you install a threaded fastener inside the opening so it's just like the older truck beds. You can even then remove and reinstall the bed...
Find myself quoting you again to say the exact same thing haha. Moved my RetraxPro XR and all other accessories (including BedRug) and had zero fitment issues. I think the only changes are more supports molded in for wood dividers and braces and the storage cubby on the passengers side across...
Post a couple more pictures a little further out please! Let us see the whole look! What’s the exact part number or model number you got? I’ve been thinking about this but don’t want to cover up that dual live valve, I love the look but don’t like the body color (avalanche) showing.
Well, if the HVAC company is yours, I would wrap it with something to do with work, earn some business from it, be able to write it off. Something tasteful and simple. Then when I got bored with that, I'd peel it off and do something different. I've seen some really nice business wraps on...
