I ordered them on mine as well. I think they look better and am lazy and don’t want to mess with aftermarket wheels which are usually weaker than the OEM options unless you spend big money.
Don’t be so sure. Depending on the market when your order arrives they may be able to sell your truck for $5,000 -$10k more than MSRP and might just say, “beat it” and refund you your deposit if you try to pull something in the finance office. It’s worth a shot to try and get some freebies now...
Ford Performance said I had a build week of August 9th. When I go to the Ford tracking site it just shows confirmed and the date the dealer submitted my order.
Here in MO, I have 6 months from the date I sold/sell my Gen 2 to use the sales tax toward a replacement vehicle. I’m hoping it gets here by December or I’m out $5k. Dealer said my build was scheduled the week of August 9th.
I take these updates as they are still building trucks and...
Emailed my dealer this morn, scheduled for the week of August 9th! He said up to 20 days to get to the dealership if things go as planned. My order was entered in 6/15 as a priority 19. 801a, beadlocks, AM blue.
I haven’t seen a new F-150 out at night but it always bugged me that the GEN2 Raptor had exterior LED lights everywhere but the license lamps. Can anyone confirm if Ford has updated that on the new generation of F-150s? Not a big deal to replace the bulbs to make it match better, just curious.
Mark, thanks for posting this. I called and confirmed my order has been received by the plant and is awaiting scheduling. (Mine was entered as a priority “19” on June 15th by my dealer). He said to call back in 2 weeks to see if there’s a build date. Jeremy there was very helpful.
I’m leaning towards totaled but would need to see some additional pics. I believe Ford sells the front frame section as a repair part. Check the cab real well for any damage where the cab flexed. Roof, corners where the bed may have hit it, door openings for any paint chips. See how much...
Glad they are offering you a more than fair amount, I suspected that might be the case with crazy used Raptor pricing. I’d search for a deal on a new one or just lease something for 24 months til the 3rd gen comes out.
Sorry to hear it’s totaled but it’s probably for the best if you had planned on keeping it for years. Now just work on showing what others are selling for and use those as comps. Hopefully you will be surprised at how high the insurance company valuation is.
Was it a pain in the ass to do the front diff? I remember reading somewhere, (here?) that it’s a mother to get the front cover off and then back on. I did my rear and transfer case at 10k but haven’t messed with the front yet.
As someone that worked in the industry for 14 years for multiple companies covering 25+ states I can tell you that’s how it works. If the company has to spend $45,000 to fix a truck that is worth $60k but can total it, pay the owner the $60k and sell the salvage for $25,000 and save $2000 in...
Sorry to hear about the accident. If she has high enough property damage limits, you shouldn’t have to involve your insurance company.
The salvage value on these is high, so they will look at what the vehicle is worth, say $58,000. They’ll deduct the salvage value say $29,000 as a wild guess...
I’d look for any damage to the underside of the bed or frame from them prying with a bar or to get the tire down to cut the cable. I’m still not sure how they could get at the cable but thieves and crackheads are crafty.
I drove up Pike’s Peak in a 1989 Honda Accord with 200k on it that I bought for $50, yes $50 back in 2005. No problems at all other than it was low on power. Your Raptor will be just fine.
