You're much better off with either new coils or lift collars. Those are asking for busted CVs and balljoints at full droop adding to the overall length of the coilover like that.
100% accurate. As long as the solenoid is plugged the system performs as if nothing was changed. I was forced to do the same thing recently and just ziptied the one up out of harms way while the rest of the system did it's thing.

No issues, I've run 18 coils on the LV shocks. All the interfacing dimensions for the shock and the spring are the same. Are you looking to stay stock height?

Fuel economy, handling, acceleration, and braking are all advantages to a lighter wheel and tire combination. Reducing unsprung weight is a boon on or off pavement.
They are absolutely trustworthy, but shipping them to texas from Michigan would probably kill the deal. Does @ShocksbyHammer buy them? He's up north somewhere.
Weight loss numbers are closer to 10-15 pounds per wheel even for the really spendy sets that fit. Still significant but a far cry from a 20lb drop per.
