You'd probably be ok, but this kind of situation is exactly what 4A is for.
FWIW, my daughter once turned on 4H in my wife's 06 Trailblazer and she drove it on hard asphalt 60 miles or so before we figured out the problem, and it has been fine since. Still, 4A shines in this situation. We had a...
This is correct, but just to be clear, you don't have to short press then long press. Holding down the TC button (after switching to your mode of choice) will ensure you get the smallest amount of interference possible. It will still kick on from time to time if it thinks you are getting too...
Yes, and that's an error with my post - only baja has anti-lag, sport mode does not, and it keeps revs high too.
I thought I remembered there being more to it, and sure enough, I found this:
Baja Mode
Not for 2020, no. We want to scout out other possible locations and lead expeditions on those routes, but we haven't had the time to evaluate other options yet.
That said, the run itself is very tame overall - one truck ran it in 2wd the entire time, due to 4wd problems. He wouldn't have gotten...
How about a bunch? I didn't buy this tire for looks, but I'm gonna have a hard time switching from them next go round because they look so badass. Honestly tho, I think I'd recommend the Cooper AT3 instead. These are just a bit too loud for a daily, and I found out that the AT3 is specifically...
The Coopers are the only tires that weigh the same as the K02s. Everything else is too heavy for my taste. They don't look great in pictures but are impossible to beat in person.
There's a whole lot of reasons I'm convinced a 2017 SCAB is the best Raptor made, but I'm still staggered Ford really seems to be dropping the SCAB option on the Gen 3. I remember back in 2010 it was the only option because Ford felt the Supercrew was too much of a compromise. The more time I...
when my wife commented they were bad in the rain I knew they were bad in the rain.
Laughably, my much more aggressive Coopers are a bit better in the rain and MUCH better in all other conditions (off and on road). And unlike the K02s, the ST Maxx actually hold up to offroad use.
I was hoping to repaint it myself this year, but because of COVID can't get a paint mask :/
The rear door - which they weren't supposed to paint - already has clear peeling. Fisheyes and solvent pop galore....still makes me sick to my stomach. My family had used that shop for decades - their...
Careful OP - while a little separation near the middle is normal, yours is on the borderline of normal. There's a chance it could have been taken off, which usually means it had a trip to the body shop.
The second worthless paint shop I unfortunately decided to let try their hand on my truck...
We are working on scouting more potential trails to run in Texas. Regardless, we plan to host more events with some regularity going forward when we get the time.
I believe I posted here for this event, but I may have forgotten. Regardless, I'll post here in the upcoming events when the time...
Highlight video from the event:
We started in Horseshoe Bay, had lunch in Mason (about the mid-point) and finished in Fredricksburg. We were surprised at how much of the route was paved (about 65% of it) but still had a great time regardless. Leading a pack of 31 trucks for my first event...
And I've had sloppy work done by people of all ages, and good work also done by people of all ages.
Judging people solely by their age is foolish - basing a vehicle purchase on what age group predominantly buys it - especially when said age group is the dominant one right now - is complete...
I'm just baffled an adult would be so mentally deficient so as to make these statements. This comment reinforces that you are a biased old man disconnected from reality. Reality is that most of the workforce is made up of millennials now - so yeah, they are buying vehicles they like, as your...
What's that supposed to mean? Some millenials are old enough to have kids in college. That kind of comment is both ignorant and stupid. Who bases their vehicle purchase on the average age of other owners?
Glad to hear it! That's what I was aiming for.
I do wish I could shore it up some tho. Think I could condense it down a bit and provide some better info, but alas I have exceeded my edit allowance.
Maybe? I'm pretty happy with the stock suspension, pogo front coilovers notwithstanding. The problem is that you can't make much improvement on stock without going a full long travel set up. Not necessarily opposed to doing that, but road quality is compromised and I intend to daily this truck...
Been wanting to make this video for over a year now, but didn't have the software to do it until recently.
I was fortunate enough to have external footage from several of my laps at Texplex back in March of 2019, which coincided with my dash cam footage. By stitching the videos together, you...
It had been since last November since I got to take my Raptor out for some fun, and with the regular prerunner days getting rained out, I decided to make a solo trip to Texplex.
Really happy with my new camera and video editing software. Was able to get some good footage of the suspension in...

DFW Raptors is hosting the Texas Hill Country Run. Expect an easy, scenic route that should take most of the day.
Meet up at Bayside Fresh Market, 9710 FM2147, Horseshoe Bay, TX 78657 at July 11th, 9:00am. Departing at 9:30 am sharp. Drive near...
While I'm all about being proactive, in this case you might better have been served by waiting it out.
With no change to usage intervals, my truck has done the same thing for a week or two at a time. Then, just as I start getting concerned about it, it goes back to normal. The length of time...
Turn it off. You'll find the tone/pitch/sound is identical but a lot quieter. From my experience it is purely a volume boost coupled with noise canceling.

There were other, more legit sources a few years ago, but I can't find them at the moment.
Pretty much exactly that. At the time I had plastidipped my fenders so they didn't need the protection. But now the dip is off I do tape them as well. (the extra pieces are from my three year old helping me)
Trakktape is what I use. Actually based on my feedback they made a bigger roll for offroad use. I have both, and end up using each for different parts of the fender.
Pics from my first use of it over a year ago
