Pretty sure it's user error. My iPhone takes perfectly fine pictures. You just have to set your beer down first before you try to take the picture :sunot:
Just be careful with the distance you keep between cars on the highway. I'm sure the total weight of what you are towing is over the rated towing capacity. If you get in a wreck and a lawyer finds out you were over the rated towing capacity, it won't matter if it was technically the other...
Should've explained it more, but that's what I meant. If they can remove shocks, they have a compressor and then you can do the 30 second modification of moving the Blue SVT metal piece out of the way, moving the snap ring up one notch, placing the SVT metal piece back, and handing the shocks...
I honestly don't get the obsession with CARFAX reports. They have a hell of a marketing team and have convinced the public that if the car has even been in a fender bender, it's not a good car to own. If you can't see the repair because they did such a good job, great, there should be no value...
Like I said...once you get a kit together, I'll drive down to your shop to do an install with pics and a review and everything. Interior lighting is something that I really want because of how dark the cab is at night. And if you are able to tie it in to the factory dimmer, that would be awesome!
Probably like me, the day he got it he drove to the tint shop and had them tint the windows. I sure as hell was not going to drive around in a fishbowl.
Congrats on the truck!
Any offroading? Sure, it's great insurance to have it, but the way that 99% of Raptor owners are going to drive their truck off road will not, and does not necessitate the bump stop kit. You have to realize that this forum is full of the 1% of Raptor owners out there who will push their truck up...
Would it be possible to use the "claw" mounts that are used for the hood lights? Or would the holes not line up correctly?
Seems like you might be able to but just flip them. As in use the passenger claw mount on the driver side and vice versa.
They are worth it. I had a cheap one and it worked amazing. Only lasted a year so I'd invest in a nicer one for sure. But they make washing a car much, much easier.
Couldn't you have a tuner just deactivate all the nannies in a tune? I know I had my tuner disable all traction control and everything on my previous vehicles...
Pain in the ass to have to change the tune every time you go offroad, but might be worth it if it's possible.
Go to any shop that removes shocks and ask them if they can just remove the shocks. Then you can do the 30 second modification at their shop, hand the shocks back and have them remount them.
I sold it to a guy over on SVTPerformance. He'll get much more enjoyment than I did out of it. I only drove it once, maybe twice a month on the weekends. Got tired of paying for something that just sat all the time.
Small superchargers are really easy to tune and are very hard to notice it's actually there if you aren't told about it before hand. The only way people knew my 2005 Mustang GT had a supercharger (whipple 2.3) was because of the two pillar gauges I had.
Ever ridden in a car with a 4.0L...
Correct me if I'm wrong, but this would only apply to Roush Raptors from the factory. If you get it all done aftermarket, I would think you'd be a fool not to go to a well known tuner and have him do a custom dyno tune for the truck. Mail order tunes are only so good and they make them...
Had a 2003 Cobra I bought from a buddy. Had it for about a year and a half and I never drove it. I had a 2004 Nissan Sentra as a daily driver that I sold to a co-worker. He loves it...good for him because I wanted to drive it off a cliff.
Before that, I had a 99 Lightning with a ported s/c...
20-30 for shipping would be if you wanted to ship the wiring harness back or something. To ship a big light like that is going to easily cost 120+ depending on how quick you want it to get to Rigid. And add on another 100 or so if you want to insure the light for the full amount in case it is...
Whatever Corsa does, that's what I want. Just wish it wasn't so expensive.
They have a nice deep sound at idle/start-up and a pretty aggressive sound at WOT. But they really shine at cruising speeds where there is literally zero drone.
When it's 105 degrees in the middle of August here in Texas, I'm going to love having the remote start to help cool the cab down before I get out there.
My guess is that they didn't officially endorse it or say anything to the effect of "these shocks are not meant to be adjustable" in 2010-2011 because those trucks didn't have any issues due to lack of a Torsen front diff. In 2012-2013 model years, the Torsen diff poses some problems when raised...
My biggest worry is I don't want it to sound like some stupid 16 year olds Chevy that's just stupid obnoxious. I'm young myself, but I've outgrown that phase in my life lol
I'm sure this has been asked, but does anybody have an in-cab video with MBRP exhaust? I want to see how drone is on the highway at around 65-75mph. I really want exhaust but don't want much in-cab drone. I know with exhaust there will be drone, but I'm looking to keep it as minimal as possible.
