I took out the 15A spare fuse that was in slot 14 (it's essentially just a fuse holder since slot 14 wasn't used for anything) and put the micro fuse tap in there with the 2 10A fuses that came with it. I suppose I could have pulled one of the 10A fuses and put it in my spare fuse box in the cab...
I got my Morimotos installed over the weekend. It was all pretty straight forward. Once you remove the unnecessary resistor packs, the wiring is simplified a lot compared to the way they come out of the box, and it's very easy to figure out what goes where.
However, one question...do anyone...
Thanks for the detailed info on how to aim the lights. I had read this before, and found a video online at one point, so that all makes sense. What is a “gear wrench”, though? Just making sure I have the correct tools I’ll need once I do my install.
Excellent...thanks for the info. If you wouldn't mind following up with me here to let me know what you ended up doing as far as the DRL connection as well as the fuse tap, that would be great. Thanks again!
@LF LandShark 2818 Doesn't look like the links you sent worked, but after a bit of sleuthing around in your post, I think these are what you tried to post:

Anyone happen to have a link for a good set of instructions (or even better, a video) for installing the Morimoto XB headlights on a Gen2 Raptor?
I've searched the forum with no luck, and done a bunch of Google searches and I found a few videos of installation instructions for F-150s, but I'm...
Considering @Blkshp18 said "I'm glad I did it" (bolding mine) and "OP made it easy", my guess is that he did it himself. Did you read the first post in this thread? Assuming you have FORScan working, it looks like a pretty simple process. I just keep forgetting about it and haven't done mine yet.
Yeah, if I didn't already have other things I want the dealer to look at (cam phasers, and a general 30k mile inspection) and didn't think I could get them replaced under warranty, I definitely wouldn't bother going to the dealer. End links are easy to replace for sure...did them a few times on...
Did you finally get the dealer to replace them under warranty, or did you do them yourself? If the dealer, I'm guessing they left the tags on so that you'd know they were new (not that you wouldn't be able to tell, seeing how bright and shiny they are! ;) )
And is your factory warranty still valid, or has it expired? I'm guessing that my dealer wouldn't have a problem with honoring the rental through my ESP once my factory warranty has expired. I think (hope) there's just some confusion by whoever I'd been communicating with. Perhaps if I talked to...
So, if the dealership says the first day rental isn't covered, are they right? Or will I be able to prove that they're wrong? I suppose it's possible that the person I was emailing with (who was just trying to get an appointment scheduled) doesn't know how the ESP really works. I did also find...
I am interested in purchasing an ESP for my truck, which is still covered by the 3/36 factory warranty (but will be expiring at the end of December when my 3 years is up), and I have a few questions:
If I buy the ESP now, my plan is to add the 'First Day Rental' option. I actually need to have...
I'm not seeing anything...here's the results of my search: https://www.fordraptorforum.com/search/100743/?q=front+end+rattle%2Fnoise&o=relevance
I also tried searching without the '/', and with everything in quotes. Am I missing it somewhere?
Thanks for the info...I need to take my truck in to have the cam phaser rattle recall work done at some point, so I'll have them look at the endlinks at the same time.
Any chance swaybar endlinks are covered under warranty (either factory, or an ESP plan)? I've had some clunking in the front end of my truck also which I've been unable to diagnose. Here is a picture of what one of mine looks like, but they both look pretty similar. How do I tell if they're bad?
My tires have about 3000 miles on them and have plenty of tread left. The road was dry, and not sandy. I felt like I really had to stand on the pedal to get it to slow down, though. I know some of that is the nature of the (heavy) beast, but I'm just wondering if there's anything else that could...
Had an emergency stopping situation the other day when traffic came to a sudden stop, and I have to admit that I feel less than excited about the amount of time/distance that it took the truck to stop. I felt like the ABS was kicking in a bit too much, but couldn't do any sort of pedal...
Probably best you just get in touch with the company that did your tunes, and ask them directly. Tell them the situation, and ask what you need to do about it...
