I finally figured out the issue. After ohming out every cable. My connector wouldn’t fully clip in on the replacement solenoid turbosmart sent me. It worked for awhile but finally stopped. The other issue. That solenoid stopped working. I replaced it with another one. So far no issues...
I have a 2019. I removed all of the shutters but left the motors plugged in. Ever couple of days my truck would throw a CEL. I unplugged both shutter motors and the light went off.
I will log into FORSCAN when I get home and make sure everything is clear. (clear everything then see if it...
Not at all. Remove the oil filter access panel on the skid plate. Reach up and unplug the bov and see if the new bov plugs into it. Took about 5mins. Lol.
Just tried it in 4A and 4H. The noise isnt there. It only happens in 2WD. I also tried all the different modes. In baja 2wd the noise is less noticeable.
To me it sounds like a belt or pulley is making the noise. I know Corvettes would have a similar noise under hard acceleration and it...
I'm not sure. I never noticed it at the last RTO meet when I was in 4wd. (I was definitely beating on the truck to.) I only notice it on the street when I mash the skinny pedal.
Side note: I haven't noticed it since it warmed up. I'll stomp on it tomorrow during the day and see what happens.
Yes, the sat antenna is on the roof.
also, pull the mat in the back of the truck and make sure its not wet. Sometimes the back windows will leak and it will run down to the front.
It could also be the seal at the top of the wind shield. Also go to lowes or home depot and buy some DampRid. Leave it in the truck tell you find the leak.
Good luck tracking it down.
I got another one for you. (Just another crazy idea.) Does it sound likenits in the cab or outside of the cab?
If it starts to happen as you accelerate and gets louder the faster you go. Their could be a bad connection or lose connection on a ground somewhere. You might be hearing it...
No recall or tsb that I know of.
But if you were using a power washer. It could have possibly moved the seal back and let water get in. Or the window could not be closing all the way.
Just an idea.
Make sure your air filter box is seated all the way.
Check all the seals on the trucks.
Does it make the sound when you are setting at a stop light? (Should have asked this first) lol.
Check this link out. Ford has the evap test that will happen when the truck is off. It will make a mild humming noise. But I've never heard one that loud. 90% of people never hear it. I'm not 100% sure. But it might have something to do with that. Just an idea.
Does the sound go away...
I always check my oil in the morning. Let it set over night and you will be able to see exactly where your oil level is. Hope it isn't burning oil. Mine burned some the first 3000 miles. But it's good now. I'm at 8k+ miles.
