Just bought our 802a for 2k over msrp at a local top 100 ford dealership. Didn’t want to deal with the haggling over our trade-in while out of town/state. Called other dealerships within 500 miles of me and all of them said 10k over for 37’s and 5k over for 35’s. So to me buying the exact spec...
Also agree, the industry as a whole has really dropped in overall quality and reliability. Only stuff left that might keep going are a few Hondas and last gen Toyotas. Pretty sad state we are in now.
Have you looked into resin printing for that console adapter/mount? Would give that oem finish vs the layer lines of FDM printed parts. Couldn't help but say something since I print a lot of stuff hah.
I’d see if you can get the parts first before deciding. Could have some long back orders and a body shop would hold onto it for weeks and weeks.
Replacing those parts is doable without any special tools. If any sensors need to be vin specific then the dealer can just add them for a diagnostic fee.
I’ve also noticed this on my 24’. Haven’t had time to dig into it further or reach out to forscan to work with them on it. Keep us updated if you make a breakthrough.
Fun fact... there is a plastic/elastic tab that aids in the removal of the battery. You have this under the positive spring right? Pretty obvious but figured I'd mention it.
Will also say I've had better luck with Duracell or Panasonic batteries. Seeing as you have went through that many already I'd lean on some kinda issue with the circuit draining. You could take it all apart and upload pics of the board before you clean it with circuit board cleaner.
Great heads up! Not to highjack the thread but I think this is a good place for it. I've wanted to try and figure out or see if anyone knows... Is it possible to command the air dampers in the grille open? When I'm washing the truck I'd like to be able to wash out the...
Any corrosion visible on the contact points where the battery touches inside the fob? I've had some new batteries test out to 3v and still fail to work in the fob (amazon..) so easiest next step is try another battery thats name brand and then dig deeper if you get the same results.
Looks great! I was just looking at these for the Raptor. Baja Design lights have been on my other truck for 5 years now in all kinds of nasty weather and they have been flawless. Probably going to put some LP6's on the modular bumper mounts.
Alright alright! Hah. I’ve got a trail I’ve done with my Ranger that she will fit on and I’ll get plenty of pics. Just for reference this is my Ranger and I plan to take the Raptor to all the same places where it will fit.
I’d like to take this to trial! Hah. Dealer installed tire slime AND the dirt road was JUST at the end of a paved road.
Just wait till I get her out on some ragged trails. Then you will see the true colors of my intent. Haha.
Hey there FRF members! Just picked up a 2024 Avalanche with 37's on Monday! Absolutely love how this truck drives and handles. Have a few camping/trail ride trips planned with it already before the snow gets too deep out here. I'll post more pictures once its out on the trail. #notamallcrawler
