I go over it by hand, then dry with spray wax n dry and then drive it down the highway for a few minutes. Works great and gets everything dry. Back to the driveway to get any wayward drops.
I do admire your persistence but after having similar issues a few vehicles back, I've avoided sun/moon roof vehicles like the plague. Never did much for me anyway luckily and with previous sports cars, it was better to keep that structure intact with the higher horsepower trying to twist the...
I had to think about it for a minute. I used to get a lot of attention driving a Oxford white 2017 Shelby GT350, or rather, the Shelby got a lot of attention and I loved that; used to always give at least a good nod and goose the throttle to share the joy of that exhaust sound. Not as much...
Anyone returning their baby to stock I would gladly trade my stock cat back system for a Borla Touring setup, plus I'd entertain throwing in some cash if the Borla is in good shape/newer. I'm in NJ, 20 minutes from Philadelphia.
I'm going to Globex performance in Tom's River, NJ in May to have mine done on the recommendation of a good friend who's serious about offroading his Jeep.
I'm thinking that American racing headers with the Borla touring cat back would be just awesome. I'd have to hear it live or some good video with a real drive-by, not one of these start and drive into my garage exhaust clips
...and neglected to mention that I had the engine oil and filter changed, serviced front and rear differentials, rotated and balanced tires, replaced the air filter and had the bg injector system service (yeah, I know, but did it anyway)
Hard to argue that the Gen 2 doesn't do almost everything better than the Gen 1. If I had the money, I'd do the Gen 2 but with a heavily massaged V8 to get to 450-500 hp and I'd be happy as a clam.
So I washed the Raptor, noticed that the roof could use some wax; which of course led to waxing the whole truck. I don't think she'll get any cleaner than this
My youngest son says the graphics on it now are "sick" so I'll be leaving it the way it is; as you were. We now return you to your normally scheduled day, already in progress...
I have always really liked the digital mud splash graphics on the original Raptor. I had peeled the "STX" stickers off my previous F150 (a race red 2018, below at my old picture spot in Staten Island) and put the splash graphics on that myself. I really liked it even though it didn't quite fit...
I like what you're going for. There's something that's just "meaner" about the grill on the Gen 2 trucks. I have trouble putting my finger on it. Is it because it's angled at the corners and not just a rectangle? I would love to be able to get that look on my 2012
Yeah, I agree. For $100K you get the 500 hp engine, full interior, upgraded suspension with tons of wheel travel, mucho skid plating, bead lock wheels, A/C, 5-point harnesses. What's not to like?...except for the hundred grand part I guess
I think upon reading further, they actually never went to production. A later article was talking about Ford putting 15 sets of the 500 hp engine's cams up for sale...
Little blurb that I came across when searching for the "Born in Baja" video (IIRC) said that Ford built 50 off road only versions of the Baja Raptor, each with the massaged 500 hp 6.2L engine. Really haven't seen or heard much about them. Any of these known to exist?
I know not what you're looking for but I just got one from American trucks, along with a console lock box as I love that you can finance stuff with affirm.
