Used gen 3 pricing right now has me cracking up. I don’t think I’ve seen one listed for less than a new 23, which base is basically now 802a. But yeah I’d pay $80k for 15k miles instead of the same for new with some effort.
Give it a month or 2 and I’ll expect gen 3 used prices to...
There an install instructions thread where I made the same statements about those awful bolts. Couldn’t use impacts at all, and felt like everything would break taking off and installing. Honestly the bumper could just clearance for them and rest against that cross memenber and be just as...
I think it is 300, I had found it online. My big torque wrench only goes to 250 so I did 250 plus all I could do lol. I’d retighten for sure more than 150. Problem is you have to back out and re-loctite.
A lot of work for a bolt on bumper lol, too bad it doesn’t ship w instructions. I guess...
Oh it’s out now. Did it all with breaker bar. Thought it was going to break a half in breaker.
I loctited the bolts back in... but probably not near as much as the factory. Will crawl under and make sure there’s no “gap “ from it backing out.
I started w a corded AC Delco, it’s big but I don’t know specs. No dice. Went and bought biggest Mikita brushless, 1100+ reverse ft lbs same lack of result lol. The rack I think twists enough it absorbs all the impact. Should have left both bolts in partially till all out in retrospect I think...
My electric impacts didn’t work. The steering box was twisting and absorbing the blows. Start with passenger side and maybe it will work better.
Otherwise get a long extension and use the breaker bar in front of bumper.
My experience was similar. My steering rack bolts were a huge bitch to get out. Like 1150 ft lb electric guns didn’t do it. Pushed my breaker bar to the limit removing them (not just breaking lose). Also brutal to put back in. I ended up having to use the bolts as chasers to get factory loctite...
Mines on. Looks awesome. Quality seems great. Instructions were garbage... there were none. Fitment of skid to factory skids and the back bar against subframe bolts could have used some instruction. I definitely need them for ACC I’ll do in the future and wire up the lights (onx6 10 and BD SAE...
Could you run the NVs without the bolts, has anyone seen this?
I ordered them with my new bumper/lights before finding out they rust and want to sell you $120 bolts!
Yep it’s new. It’s similar to ADD but defineteiy different, namely the “support bars”. Looks more like svc frame cut.
I actually ended up buying the first one, I was talking to them about the old one debating it and add and said it would seal the deal if theirs followed the facia more like the...
