I ended up deciding to do it myself and save about $1100 (hopefully) with the ceramic UV kit from Adam's along with their ceramic wheel kit. The total cost for the two kits, a polisher, and the wash/polish products was about $400. I know it will be an all-day event plus not having the truck for...
Being in central NC, I'm not talking full-strength winds and rain. Generally winds in our area will gust into the 50's or a bit higher, but the majority of what we get is heavy rain during that time.
Looking at carports for the raptor as the wife gets priority in the garage with her car. Have multiple leaf-dropping trees around the house and hurricanes that bring winds and rain every so often so looking to keep the truck covered. Currently the "generic" car ports are costing about $1500...
The kits are on the site. I just ordered a UV ceramic and wheel kit. Under "ceramics", choose "paint" and then the UV coating. On the page you can choose just the serum or the kits.
Here is the link...
Considering a DIY ceramic coat as well as the one done by a detail shop. I saw another member stated that Avalon King products were quite good and right now you can get 3 of their "kits" for $100 with their 4th of July sale.
Any others have experience with Avalon King and can it be applied to...
Nice, good find. That is similar to mine. I got it about 2 days after they cleaned it and that was only because I couldn't get down there sooner to test drive it. I like the beadlocks as well. They are a solid addition in the looks department and make any of the paint colors look better.
Any opinions on the Ceramic Pro system? Looking at a shop that uses their products and it's $1180 for the "Silver" 5-year warranty while it's $1580 for the "Gold" lifetime warranty. This includes paint prep, polish, and ceramic for the wheels and windshield along with adding the service to the...
Welcome! Sounds like you found a solid truck and with the extra warranty and maintenance as a good perk. Additionally having all the previous records is quite nice.
Get a picture up!
Any updates to this or still waiting on enough mileage to conduct a test? Just picked up my '19 and it had a Motorcraft synthetic blend oil change just before I bought it around 11k miles so looking at switching to a full synthetic at 15k miles. I hit up Costco regularly and would entertain this...
I'm curious about this also for the live valve shocks and if there is a different interval between them.
I will say that for solutions outside a rebuild, it appears that a place or two offers an exchange program in which they will send you rebuilt shocks and you have 30 days or so to send your...
I'm still slightly confused in the terminology as according to fox themselves and all of the literature of the 19/20 shocks, the stock shocks are 3.0 Live Valve. This is seen here:
https://www.ridefox.com/content.php?c=livevalve-raptor
I see differences as described in the early pages in terms...
The rear end of my '19 I just got feels quite stiff as well even after lowering tire pressure and ensuring I was in "Normal" mode for the suspension. My truck was a production date of 11/18 so perhaps it is applicable to the SSM posted back on page 1. What would be the best way to speak with...
I am down in Southern Pines, an hour south of Cary on Route 1.
I'm from Sandpoint up that way, but out in NC now in the military. Wish I could take the truck back home!
I did luck out with it the tint already being done but here in NC when I get it inspected, it may not pass and we will see. The truck came from SC so I don't what's legal there versus here. Hope it works out and I don't have to pay a shop to strip it and re-do it.
First and foremost, thanks to the forums for the huge amount of information I have received while in the process or shopping for a Raptor in the last month and a half. Particularly thanks to @smurfslayer and @FordTechOne for taking the time to answer numerous questions and have conversations...
That was a curious bit as well. All the talk of a 5-link rear and yet it wasn't highlighted in any fashion during the release. I am genuinely surprised by that as it's a fairly big change and it makes me wonder if it is just common knowledge (and I missed it) so they skipped it, they didn't want...
Appreciate the help. I am looking at a white with blue interior truck they have there. They seem to have a very large abundance of trucks with the recaro's for whatever reason. I have a good offer on a CPO '19 with 4800 miles at a dealership near me, but it is black and I believe it will just be...
Fairway Ford in Ohio seems to have quite the raptor selection. They have almost the exact setup I'm looking for and just wanting to know how experiences are working with this dealer?
For sales tax on vehicles in Ohio, is it full sell price or sell price minus the trade value?
Lastly, any...
Thanks for all the replies. The truck I am looking at is a black / blue combo and I think it looks pretty good. The real catch here is just deciding if I want to deal with trying to keep black paint looking nice as it seems the general consensus is cover up the seats and that kids aren't too bad.
