I got a fully loaded 2020 crew cab, literally every option available, some of which I dont like like collision mitigation and lane keep assist. I paid $80,000 flat which included 8.38% sales tax. So I paid $73,814.36 for it. I think I only got like $1500-$2000 off of sticker
I think I may just go the plastidip route, I just have never seen or felt that stuff and am afraid it will look like shit real quick. I really may take the bumper and skid plate of and powder coat them all. But not powdering the grey part of the bumper, just the silver.
I was considering doing this. The only pix I have seen however are low resolution and I can't tell how it really looks. I think I prefer all or nothing however.
The bezel you have looks great, I dont want plastic. I am more concerned with the light housing and how that fits. Think More f150 sytle. I like how the OEM fog light housing sits in the air damn flush with one light housing instead of 2 or 3 different lights, just cleaner in my opinion. Its all...
I think it is so stupid that Ford paints the bumper instead of just making the skid plate as a whole piece. I however may go the Plastidip route, I just need to find someone who is good at this type of work. I do have the skill or the time to do that.
Is the OEM bumper powder coated or painted? I really think it’s powder coated. I wonder how I can get the powder color so I can redo the bumper and skid plate at same time.
It would be like an over sized RC truck. I remember when I was a kid I used to race electric RC cars and always dreamed of a full size version. If you took it to scale the full size version would do about 500mph and jump 10000 feet.
I never saved anything, I just made the changes I wanted and I am good to go. I figure if the shit hits the fan, the dealer can reset it then I can start over again.
