Mine didn’t want to replace the fronts while the backordered rear with no eta was still unobtainable. Reason? “Ford won’t warranty two alignments.” I asked him how do you align the rear with fixed length arms and track bar? I don’t think they appreciated that.
They are different, so you might be ok on the inventory. I can only speak to the 37PP shocks. Hopefully your dealer likes you more than mine likes me and it will be no big deal lol.
I feel like giving them the SSM made them less receptive, at least in my case. It’s like they don’t want people self diagnosing and coming in like they know more than them. Sometimes we do but you’re fighting with personalities that are in charge of approving repairs on your vehicle. I’d...
I'd love to share my video I made for Ford. This went through an exective, a chassis engineer and a FSE before they finally sent the oil change tech to my house to hear it while I drive him. 85 miles they had it, no noise. 2 minutes with me and the kid goes, "yep I hear it."
that was November...
To come full circle for anyone researching this is the future. SSM is the same the advisor just told me there was a newer module update than the one I had. It changed nothing
Still have this dtc. Have taken it to the dealer a few times and all they’ve done is reset the module as well as apply the SSM for the code multiple times without a fix. They’ve gotten to a point where they don’t want to do anything more saying “it’s not on the dash” in regards to the code...
I also wondered if it could be possible that a module is not allowing the truck to fully sleep for some reason and just drains the truck enough until the computer recognizes it and shuts it off (like a light because a door is cracked open). I’ve read on the f150gen14 forum that apim module was a...
You could be right but it doesn’t hurt to try and see if that harness is seeing with something. It’s colder now and working more frequently then when it was 30 degrees warmer.
Ditto. I’ve had start stop not function for weeks and system off to save battery after messing around with forscan too long but I’ve never seen a deep sleep notification.
I’ll be honest I’m just a hobbyist forscan mechanic and have no real idea what was going on or how to diagnose but I keep pointing to my dongar dash cam adapter that plugs into my rear view mirror harness. You can see it turn off with turning off the ignition but I haven’t had a problem with the...
That’s wild. Did they give any rationale to why they’d replace the battery if it tested fine? I mean I hope it fixes it but I’m just wondering what the reasoning would be.
Mines been fine ever since my post lol. I’m going to reinstall my dongar rear mirror harness that has a tapped in usb port for a dash cam back. Wondering if somehow that’s messing with the battery drain.
Damn, I think we have different problems. I haven’t encountered that yet… I don’t know much about battery tech but I think if a cell is bad it wrong hold a charge even though it charges. My original 2021 battery failed its test.
