Yeah & this direct quote says all you need to know:
"Every course revealed the same thing: Raptors with 37-inch tires are more composed, stable, and comfortable, but feel slower and less engaging. The 35s make the Raptor more nimble, and it acts more like a rally truck with a rear end that...
It’s not going to be very noticeable from either a “feel” or actual calculated mpg situation…..that is unless you opt to waiver from the OEM specific K02s which IM SURE Ford specifically designed to be within spitting distance of weight compared to the 35”s….it’s like 2 lbs diff correct? Very...
You enjoy ******* $$$ modifying vehicles you don’t intend to keep any length of time, but when it comes to a vehicle you’d like to keep long term you would rather pay extra for a warranty you probably won’t use. Interesting rationale.
Jesus I applied this to the Rappy for most part (appearance mods & tune) my damn C5Z on other hand has been in scattered pieces 3x & back together over the last 2.5 years pulled engine/rebuilt suspension/blower etc etc….at that point you become married to the damn thing lol! I’m now at the point...
The leafs on these trucks even in OEM form
Are truly a wear item it seems that will have to be replaced or addressed @ some point if you keep it long term. The guys @ raptor assault say they replace em on all those demos a couple times over their lives
I’m just gonna have a spring shop re-arch...
I may have been the first to do the whole “lock the house dehumidifier in the cab while running overnight idea”- but hot damn it works quite well & gives good peace of mind it’s bone dry doesn’t it!!
I did it due to a bunch of water spilling in back not from an actual leak
If I was going to have any risk of warranty issue w/ an aftermarket tune, it for sure wouldn’t be a bully dog one, why not get a proper custom tune that you know is reliable & safe & actually has dyno #s backing up?
Goose, GH, MPT, etc
I almost got a F250 Tremor….back in 2020 Raptor, but next go around I may go w/ the Tremor…got some of the look/utility of a Raptor from an off-road standpoint (obviously still much different animal), but factory 35”s - easily do 37”s, higher ride height, tougher look etc is appreciated but...
I was wondering if they changed that for Gen3, not surprised if they did, as I said- it’s an egregious/ridiculous omission for a simple a$$ option that even my near 20 year old C5Z has lol
And w/ 800a in the Gen3, you get a regular switch blade key still? No push button start?(i prefer a real...
Yo- to OP, while I did bust your balls on the complaint of getting a truck missing an option you could’ve/should’ve know beforehand….in a way I do sorta agree that there ARE certain options that seem odd to be left out w/ certain packages & price-points.
The step doesn’t necessarily fall into...
I mean…it’s a stand alone option no? If it was a big deal to you & you also know you’re buying sight unseen I just don’t see how it even warrants a post, you’re the one buying the thing it’s up to you to check what options the truck does or doesn’t have. I don’t see how it’s fords fault. After...
Guys buys most macho truck on market, bragging rights on giant price tag. Total alpha move…..needs a baby step to get in bed. Lol
Also- this stuff happens when you buy a truck sight unseen before any are even on the lots & don’t bother browsing the build sheet/window sticker before committing...
Chicago’s a corrupt *** morally bankrupt *** backwards city. I would expect the dealers to
Follow suit. Just came back from there actually…Got some pretty building & a nice lake tho.
Be funny if Ford put the 5.2 n/a in the bronco Raptor just to tick off all the F150 Raptor guys hahahaha and yeah, it would actually make a lot of sense since Jeep has the 392 Wrangler & it wouldn’t really impact the cafe averages much since it would only be a fraction of the sales.
A bronco...
Toyota
100%
Toyota’s are running on a lot of rep & little substance. The fact that they still use a C channel style frame on their 1/2 ton, run a torque-less weak *** V8(s) that have to revved to all hell for power & require 4.10’s to get outta their own way all while getting astonishingly bad...
They don’t have many problems same as tundra cuz they’re 20 year old designs that they keep tweaking. If they are tasked w/ designing an important halo vehicle from the ground up they just pi$$ their pants & call BMW bahahajjahajaj
Nah just have bought/sold way too many. Shocked for the ripe old age of 40 & have learned from that experience & my mistakes along the way
I’d also never buy another new vehicle I haven’t driven yet- and by driven I mean the actual vehicle I’d buy & by driven I mean keep
It over a weekend...
Nah I just would wait if it were me, I’ve mentioned before - I work closely w/ auto manufacturers for business, & there’s going to be a lot of issues w/ “covid era” vehicles across all makes. And first year production “used to be an issue” - so when did they resolve it? This year? Haha the 2017...
