    well - it 'shouldn't' have - I've always used them - I run a 89 Lotus Esprit and the turbo glows red 2' behind my head - so the blanket kept some of the heat off. First time I've seem the impellor break off like that.... who knows....

    The first time through I had to figure out how things came apart - and only had partial Saturdays to work on it, then had to order bolts, couplings, ...etc few start and stops - probably 4 full days. Now - more like 2.

    looking for insight - ECM aborts when boost is present

    turned out this wasn't really a problem - the behavior changed a little after my turbo upgrade - I'm not able to rev it up in park and hit enough into boost to pop the BOV. Once I'm rolling - it's fine.

    As I bring up the RPM - and the manifold pressure goes from vacuum to boost, the wastegates open and the throttle closes, basically keeping any boost from appearing..... been through it several times... no obvious boost leaks....

    Thanks. It is a Gen2 - there is zero clearance - back it out 1/2" and it hits the cross-member. I guess the F150 has a different setup?

    Well after running through all the couplings, connections, pressure tested the FMIC, …etc - I found the issue…. ;)

    Thanks - I read your thread. I think it's the other way around - something got in your intake - broke the fins off your input impellor and those pieces punched a hole in your intercooler. The intercooler is after the turbos.
