Most folks who did simple upgrades did the front components (A-pillar tweets and 6x9s in the kickpanel). Go back with an efficient, low impedance set of components. You can go back with 6x9s, but you have more options if you go back with 6.5s. I went with JBLs, but the Morels are highly thought...
I'd agree with this except for the midbass drivers in the front. Every speaker generally sound better with more power, but these units are paper crap with a magnet that would pick up a set of keys. For a lower-cost upgrade, doing the front speakers is still the simplest upgrade/best bang for the...
Sounds like a yet another perfect job for the trailer wire auto start-stop disable...
Do you actually like auto start-stop? I hate it, and it can't be good to start the engine 5-10 times more per day.
With what you spent on the Raptor and the stereo upgrades posted here, that covers a lot of 93. Look this is America, and you can do whatever you want with your truck. But, what you've done in buying it and upgrading it suggests that pure cost savings/penury are not your aim. I run 93 and...
I was looking at the (overpriced) cupmount from Weathertech, when this popped up on amazon on a daily deal at $9.99. So far so good. There are several similar versions that go up and down in price, but phone is in good location for me, no vent or other blockage, easy removal...
This, especially if you are taking your wife. We stayed at the Waldorf there at this time a year ago, which is really not that expensive this time of year and the rooms are like mini condos. I would definitely recommend brunch at Stein Erikson Lodge if you are there for one and the weather is nice.
We have a zero deductible on glass here, but they will fight you over OE or not. I think there's some stuff in Ford windshield we want to keep vs a knockoff replacement, right?
I think that's true, but I plan to use it very sparingly, hopefully only once or twice a year. I will probably take the rubber mats out when I do it going forward, though.
Not only that, they started doing it sometime during the 2018 build year, too. I checked mine today after all this confusion, and my '18, built in September of 2017, has ventilated seats (sucking air), not cooled (blowing air). The build sheet for 2018 listed "heated and cooled seats" for 802a...
OK, so I bought this and this smaller one:

The smaller one I tried twice, but it did not seem to put out enough ozone to do much in the truck/the smell survived. I like that it is rechargeable and portable though, so I will...
Hey, really sorry...just saw this. Yes, the 2-2.5 ohm speaker like the JBL and Infinity will just play a little bit louder off the stock amp. Sorry if this is cold grits at this point...hope you made a choice you're happy with!
Yes, Mangnuson-Moss Warranty Act is federal law, and does require proof that aftermarket part caused failure/voiding of warranty coverage. The burden initially is on the dealer to prove that the aftermarket part caused the damage to the part(s) they are denying warranty coverage for. But, as...
I had similar issues/frustration with the way Ford's nav app works. I now plug in my phone and use CarPlay/Siri/Apple maps if I need on the fly navigation. Much smoother interface.
Came out of a movie last week in Mount Pleasant, SC to find this white Rocky Ridge Raptor parked next to my mostly stock '18. Has SC plates and a Fripp Island sticker...anyone know it/want to claim it?
Not trying to be a douche, but two threads in, is this thing worth the headaches just to have an iPad-like screen? Seems kinda cool, but buggier than the Everglades.
OK, now I'm confused. My understanding was Ford went to the ventilated seat in 2018, but my pricing/package guide for 2018 clearly says "cooled" seat for Raptor with 802a. Sticker says nothing other than 802a. My seats feel like they're sucking (ventilated) rather than blowing (cooled). So...
I doubt it, it's just newer. The longer you have yours/the more ass time it gets, everything gets compacted a bit, including the ventilation holes in the seat itself. My passenger seat still runs like new...driver's side, not so much.
Common Ford issue. I have tried the "shut off AC for a mile or so" trick on the way home, but it doesn't do much good here in SC when the outside air has 75%+ humidity. Mine got really bad last week, so I ran it for a few miles with the fan on high/no AC, then sprayed citrus scented Lysol in the...
Generally conforms what most us here knew: there is a noticeable difference in the way our trucks perform on 93 vs low grade gas, due to the engine management system/software. This is true of a lot of HO turbo setups. They tested a Limited, which now has the same engine as the Raptor...
