This depends on your tastes, but the EQ stays the same regardless of input, which can be an issue because each input is so different. Satellite radio is so compressed and mid-rangey, it sounds very different from a CD or iPod, etc. My old Tundra let you set the EQ for each input, which I liked a...
Good stuff, NMSports.
That was the first pic I've seen of the sub cone out of the enclosure...heard about the white surround...it is pretty thick and must give decent excursion for it to sound as decent as it does.
On the speakers, just want to chime in that the front 6x9s in the kickpanel...
I think that's normal...the bias is clearly to the front. Even with upgraded rear speakers, they still are not getting much love from the factory amp.
What are you expecting, though? They're placed so low in the door that they're not going to give much more than fill anyway. JMO.
OK, I found another plausible explanation...Sirius vs XM quality, with Sirius being worse due to satellites/compression used. Ford/Sync has only the Sirius tuner, not the SiriusXM tuner, which supposedly has the better sound quality. In my case, I checked, and the Raptor definitely just has the...
Are you talking about the general audio settings or something else relative to the sat radio? If the former, yeah, and it's still just a crappy, compressed source. Based on what I've experienced and what I read in a CNET article, some head units just do a better job with it, and some new amps...
It seems one way around it for cars like ours where the sound is poor is to stream it from your phone with your Sirius/XM subscription. I may try that.
For those who know more than I do, are there varying types of sat radio receivers? I ask because some in certain cars sound markedly different. In my Raptor, like in an Audi I had a few years back, the sat radio sounds heavily compressed and mid-rangey. In contrast, my wife's 2013 Mercedes and a...
I'm not an easy grader, and it was memorable. The weather change was perfect...68 degrees on that back deck at brunch, light breeze. Like a limp ****...hard to beat.
What a great spot PC is...I hadn't been in 15 years or so...a lot stuff built since then and a lot more coming out of the ground...
Just got back from Raptor Assualt yesterday...great time!
Did stay at Waldorf Astoria in Park City...would recommend it/staying in PC to anyone interested in staying a bit longer/doing more than just Assault. The drive over from PC was just under an hour, and has some nice scenery, especially...
I've seen some pretty good results of folks plasti-dipping the polished wheels to a gunmetal type color or black...google image search will bring up several.
Still an issue with the 2018s. I did the trailer light checker disable for $5, but I may do the trailer light wire connector mod discussed herein next.
Thanks for the reply...glad I'm not the only one out there with this annoyance. Mine just won't recognize the iPod sometimes, so I have to take it out, do a hard reset on the iPod, and then start again. I've put the iPod music/folders on a small thumb drive, and that works, sort of. The system...
If you like the bakflip style, get a bakflip...I have the MX4 and love it. You can get a deal close to half the price of that Fusion if you work with the FRF vendors directly.
I just got the funky/mildewy smell from the A/C...going to change cabin filter and spray some lysol or vinegar when I do. I saw some youtube videos about this in other Ford products...is there anything to do other than turn the A/C off/turn off recirc off for about mile before you stop? That...
Sound it out slowly...you'll get it.
I regret even saying I was taking my wife to PC, which somehow triggered you to leap in and assume/infer that I was going to show up like Clark fucking Griswold at Raptor Assault with my entire family expecting a joyride, and totally hijacking this thread...
Maybe it is. If so, mea culpa, and WGAS? For the third time: It is moot; I don't care; I never assumed it could be done; I never planned on it; I never tried to do it; I never even considered it until someone here chose to make an inference that didn't even apply to me/my planned trip. Good lord...
I meant the FPRS add-on, and I bet they'd work with you on the Assault if you really wanted to pay for it. Regardless, you do not seem to grasp that this is a non-issue for me, despite the fact I made it patent in the next sentence.
To be perfectly clear: per stated rules of the event, my wife...
Yes, I read the directions, Dad...lol.
I'm sure some folks pay for a +1 to do the course, but she's just going with me to the reception, and then we're going eat dinner in SLC on the way back to PC. Spa day for her while I go back the next day for the course.
