I have evoxr projectors and morimoto ballasts in stock 2012 raptor/fx headlights. Light output is phenomenal. Far superior to oem projectors. Install is super clean.
AVS has one too. I'm interested as well. I'm not looking forward to my front end getting hammered with rocks this winter.
Was thinking of plastidip for the winter. Then peel it off come spring.
I can't find a 35" Blizzack.
I found all terrains were usually good for 1 winter. Then after that it was time to change em. Just a heads up for you people that are gonna use the stockers again.
Studs are legal where I live.
I just went through all of the winter tires on tire rack and 285/70/17 is the biggest I could get. That equates to a 32" tire. :/
Taken from the link you posted for the Duratracs. The Generals have the same kinda comment.....
Features the Mountain Snowflake symbol for legal winter use. Pinned for #16 metal studs for enhanced traction on ice.
Studs are legal in my area but I have to remove the tires by a certain...
Digging a bit more it seems like the people who complain about the tread wear are using them year round. Would make sense if they're a softer tire meant for cold weather that they'd wear quicker in year round use.

Are the Coopers a winter tire though?
By law in my parts if you travel the mountain pass highways a guy has to have snowflakes on the side of his tires or tire chains.
I was actually just talking to a co worker that uses the duratracs and he says they aren't good at all on ice making this...
I'm looking for some winter tires and so far what I've come up with are Goodyear Duratracs and General Grabber AT 2.
These will be dedicated winter tires. I do a lot of winter highway driving on icy snowy roads.
Both tires get great reviews.
I like how the goodyears look better but...
I go fast as fu offroad drive like a maniac. My only real concern is the noise my drivers window makes. It sounds almost like its loose.
Also my shocks make noises like a bird chirping. Anybody have some insight on that? Pushing it too hard and hitting bump stops?
I'm an admitted noob to...
Canadian oilfield worker checking in. A pal and myself both roll roush charged raptors at work.
My plan is to keep my truck forever and maintain it. It's perfect for work. Once I pay it off I will buy another roush raptor for "days out". I came out of a 2012 Eco and there's no comparison...
I wired one of mine up to my boost gauge so I can shut it off at night.
Roush gauge. It's really bright on those desolate dark nights. You know the kind where you shut off your nav display?
