It looks like they have 2 kits for the front - one that requires 20" wheels, and one that fits under 17" wheels. They only have 1 kit for the rear though, and it requires 18" wheels, plus it doesn't match the 17" front kit. I guess if you just want to do the fronts then sure?
-19 offset if I remember correctly, but it's been since last year that I put them on. Tons of clearance on the upper control arms and ball joints. The pinch welds you'll definitely want to flatten as they eat up a solid 2" of clearance to the fender well. The issue I've seen using a stock wheel...
I don't have them on stock wheels, but have them on a set of 17" Black Rhino wheels. I'd say they will definitely rub on the fender liners and most likely the pinch welds in the front, and potentially the front bumper. Mine is on top perch.
The classic rod ends are limited on their articulation due to the design. Also, in my case, I need the smaller overall size of the aftermarket ones to clear the Alcon brakes.
I'm not really wanting to spend 2k on some brake rotors to have them look like shit in a year once they are all corroded from being in the elements. If I can keep them from corroding before install, then why not?
Also, just ordered 2 of the red G2 caliper paint kits off Amazon.
I was thinking it's not just the zinc spray stuff that comes on them like cheaper rotors, but it appears they are actually Geomet coated instead. Wonder if it's worth masking the braking surface and painting the rest like black or something. Would be nice if they came with black electrocoated...
The new rear rotors showed up Thursday, so those are good to go. I also just ordered the red RPG Offroad half tie rod ends so I don't run into any fitment issues during the install.
I decided that I would take all the hardware pieces and steel wool them to clean them back up. The machined...
Morimoto sent me an email a couple days ago that I would be receiving a 10% refund back on my order since these had been delayed so long. The next day I got tracking for the lights, so hopefully all is good now!
Yea, I really would hate to take them apart to powder coat them since they are in perfect shape minus some chips in the powder coating. I'm mostly just wanting to freshen then up looks wise. Probably just go red again but maybe do the Alcon letters and logo black. Haven't decided for sure. The...
I did some looking at the tie rod ends and it looks like SVC, SDHQ, Evil Manufacturing, UTV, and Rogue Racing don't make half rod ends for Gen 1, just the full inner/outer assembly. RPG, ADD, and Foutz Motorsports all make half rod ends though.
Everything I've been reading here seems to suggest...
