That’s good for you man. I must have Road Forced mine 8 times in 8000 miles. Felt like 30 year old mud tires. Whines so bad over 50 mph too. The K02s were ok, but got pretty noisy after 30k miles. Lasted a long time though.
the Ridge Grapplers, I can’t feel them, and can’t even hear them. So...
Not for me they weren’t! I was so bummed—worst tires I’ve ever had for balancing. Maybe a bad batch but switched to Nittos and found my tires for life.
Lower intake charge temps is the main reason. Roots blowers generate a lot of heat. When it’s 110 outside, charge temps get pretty hot. Helps keep the computer from pulling so much timing in hot weather. It’s similar to raising the octane.
Although this thread has gone off on a bit of a tangent, there is good info here and I've met a new Vegas Raptor owner who really seems to know his stuff, so thanks @letsgetthisdone. I did some data logging a couple of months ago, and JDM was fantastic about making the only change I really...
I'm going to have the battery disconnected for a while when I work on the trans cooler and fluid change. That should reset everything. A reset is a good idea.
Spoke with a trusted local Ford transmission pro that I've used before, and let him know what happened. Also told him I'm planning to add the larger trans cooler when I change the fluid soon. He thinks that while it may be the valve body or TC solenoid if it's mechanical, keeping it cooler will...
Yeah, I went with it because I bought some other parts from them as well, so overall my shipping was about $42. High, but the overall price was still really good. There are other popular vendors selling the same cooler for $189 + $25-40 shipping.
If you know anything about JDM then you’ll know that he’s not insane. JDM probably tunes more of these trucks than anyone else—if you don’t know then maybe you’re the fool. I got some really bad fuel. That’s it. No need to start flaming people when you obviously don’t have great info yourself.
$89 from Tasca. 10 rows instead of 5.

I’m too cheap to spend $350 on a pan, but I did order the large cooler, case of LV fluid, filter, and the $40 OEM pan with a drain plug in it. $250 all in, and will do it next weekend.
I actually have the best luck with Costco fuel. They buy from the best local suppliers. That’s what I filled back up with, and spark knock is gone. I was super paranoid on this trip because I had a transmission issue then the spark knock, and still had 350 miles of driving left before getting...
