Ok, finally got around to replacing the shifter assembly yesterday and man, IT SUCKED.
Pulling off the plastic trim around the screen and the pewter/gunmetal looking plastic belt below the screen was on there really really good.
The plastic sides of the center console were fine, not that bad...
I got a new battery after 700 miles and 3 weeks of ownership of my '24 when I got an error related to the gear shift module. They claimed the battery was not holding a load causing an error with the gear shift module. My GSM won't fold down sometimes, it'll just click now. Will be replacing...
I recently purchased a new gear shift module for my '24 802a after having multiple gear shift module errors and the dealership near me is completely incompetent. I'm trying to avoid the dealership at all costs, so I found a video on YouTube on removing and replacing the gear shift module and it...
I've had the worst luck with batteries in new vehicles and now I am convinced that the best thing I can do is put my battery on a trickle charger one night a week. I have a rather short commute to work, about 15 minutes by side streets, and while I usually try to drive enough to ensure the oil...
**1-24-2025 Update**
Welp, the cat came back. Went out last night to pick up an order from Target with the wife when I got the same "service vehicle soon" message pop up on my cluster. I immediately had a feeling it would be the same P0929-77 error code. Got home, plugged in the scanner and...
Bought some pillar wraps from the OCD Plug. Not thrilled with the overall fit and finish, which I will explain, but for the cost and ease of applying the vinyl, I’ll keep them on.
Fitment - It doesn’t quite cover the entire pillar from edge to edge. There is a small sliver of gloss showing on...
Thanks for the info @FordTechOne
Finally heard back from the dealership today. Boy, it's becoming comical. I called and asked for my service advisor; naturally, she isn't in today, even though she'd assured me she would provide me with an update on Saturday (never did) or at the latest today...
**1-3-2025 Update**
Decided to call the dealership today as I still had not heard back from my service advisor with any update. Mind you, I decided to call Ford Corporate yesterday to express my concern regarding the issue I had with the truck with less than 1,000 miles on it, and especially...
UPDATE
Well hell. The service advisor just called and said they will need the truck until next Tuesday just to diagnose it because the code and whatever is going on is stumping the tech. The service advisor said the truck will be going to their transmission tech maybe by late Thursday or early...
Been having some of the worst luck with new vehicles lately, but this doesn't compare to losing brakes from a 2024 Colorado I purchased and then dumped to get my '24 Raptor. Topic here: Link
I absolutely love this truck and know it's just a few bugs that need to be worked out with all the...
I found the location the OP posted last on Google Maps and there is a home there. Pretty amazing that Google has a street view of the house. Looks like the last street view capture was back in February of this year.
There is a 10th Gen F-150 in the picture. Fun stuff.
So the suspension on the Colorado with the DSSV was interesting but I would almost say it was more road-centric. Never got the chance to push the DSSV system in the dirt or over rocks, but there is a big dip in the road near my house that can really compress suspension and unload it. The...
