Refurbished My Ugly Steering Wheel

Wanted to share my experience installing one of those cheap sow on covers. Overall I am happy with the results although it was not as straight forward as I thought. Forgot to take before pictures but here is what it looked like after.

I also painted the plastic trim using J7 color code from Advance Auto Parts.

The leather is not as soft as the original but for $50 I can't complain.

man that looks great. I sewed a few steering wheels on old vehicles and couldn’t believe how long it took. How worn out was the original leather?
