I have read tons of threads on springs and bump stop systems. I know I want to go with RPG Stage 3 for my setup, but I am still unsure on the spring setup. I really would like the rear lower because I do like the nose high look and I saw a raptor with his oem block removed on the road and liked the way it looked planted to the ground. I definitely want to go with some aftermarket springs (+1 or +2) either National or Deaver. I know that RPG only sells +2 nationals now because the +1 limits up travels and you ride on the bump stops more. Are the 1+ truly going to limit the up travel of the truck or are the shocks the real limiter? If anyone has pics of +1s on Top or Middle perch that would be awesome if you could post them. Right now I'm On top perch and I'm assuming the 2+ would keep it how it is. And if I went middle perch with +1 it would be similar in back to front ratio as I have now. Thanks!

Are the 2+ lower than the stock springs once they settle? If I want to be level on mid perch than 1+?

If you want it level on mid perch the +1s will do. I had +2s on my last truck and it sat higher in the rear than the front. Front was a little higher than mid perch.

So how decreased is the performance from the 2+ to 1+? Are you running the risk of damage?

I prefer +2s because of the extra up travel. I only notice the difference offroad. Most guys don't want the rear sitting higher so they go with the +1s. There won't be any risk of Dave running +1s it just depends what you want for your truck
