I recently went out and test drove a 2017 Raptor, and the first thing I noticed was the Marker LEDs in all four corners were the same as my 2014 except the lens was like a dark or smoke tint. I know everyone knows that no matter how much 303 or UV protectant you use the older ones will still turn yellowish. While I liked the new raptors, I couldn't justify spending 75k because I still love my 2014. So I called my parts guy and he was able to find the part numbers for the new raptors, and while I couldn't tell if the plugs were the same the price is what shocked me. On the GEN1 the price on average is like 67$ per marker light, I was able to get all 4 of the GEN2s for alittle over 100$. Once I got them in, they are almost identical with the exception that the GEN2s are a tad bit taller but completely unnoticeable unless comparing side by side. The plugs still use the same 2 pin but the style of the outside of the plug is different. Normally you could just depin both and switch the plugs but even with the right tool I was unable to release the pin lock on the older plugs. The new ones depined easily, but no such luck on the older ones. So without wanting to break the plug, I just cut the plugs soldered an heat strinked the old plugs to the new LEDs, wires and everything match up. Then its just plug and play. Old markers in the front just pullout, pill the LED housing out first then the rubber and the plug will come out too. Remove the tail lights to get the rear markers out and its as simple as that for a hell of a lot cheaper.
