87 oct Yeh I read you saying that before and I just can't seem to get that. I'll even use my cruise control in town and set it at 40-45mph.

You should try a tank of 91, I know the increased cost probably wont offset the mileage but oh well. The increased performance is worth it. I usually only put like $30 worth in at a time just to keep the weight down. 1 gallon weighs a little over 8lbs, may sound funny but I can feel the extra weight when I fill up totally. Less weight equals better mileage.

I had a couple of times were I used the 91 and my truck ran like shit, wondering if I just got a bad batch. I will sometime put in like 30% E85 and the rest 87 and I still get the same mileage. I've even tried just the E85 and of coarse I got a bit worse but not much which is normal for E85.
Check this web site for cost if worth it in your area.

BentToast, great call.

Other forums are littered with dozens and dozens of threads about gas mileage. It's downright annoying to sift through.

As BentToast stated, this will be the one and only gas mileage thread.

any new threads created about mpg's will be moved here by a member of the staff. I'm quite positive that none of you want 47 threads about gas mileage on this forum.

For the record, I run 91 Octane in my 6.2, love mashing the go pedal, I have 6,200 miles, I have never reset my mpg calculator, and mine currently reads 11.3 mpg.

Toaster, I'm also gonna make this thread a Sticky. I hope that will help prevent new threads from being created about this oft-discussed subject.

I don't have any problems with talking mpg, but I don't wanna read about it in every thread when we could instead be discussing the bad-ass aspects of the Raptor, or large Warlock ***** on a tight body, or humorous drivel. :) ....I'm sure most of you can relate.
