Hey crew-

This weekend I noticed my tires have signs of dry rot. It's not bad yet but seems premature. Truck is a 2010 with just shy of 15k. Anyone else seeing this on their stock tires? Think Ford or BFG would provide any warranty?

The tires do have a warranty on them. It should have the stuff about it with your manual and stuff. It covers them for unreasonable blow outs and everything.

Mine are cracked between the lugs too. I have 40k km (25k miles) on them now and they have seen every type of abuse I can put them through.
I believe the warranty is pro-rated, so it wouldn`t hurt for you to check it out. In my case it wouldn`t be much money.
I know Bojangles had his replaced completely - as the tires were losing chunks of rubber early on (before he started beating on it!)

Ya, it was like a bad set of "raptor specific" BFGs went out and had some issues with wearing down very fast or chunking out bad just on the street.

Did Ford warranty cover the tires or BFG? I feel a fight brewing so just want to prepare myself as much as possible. Thanks!!

I wouldn`t hold my breath with BFG - your dealer may have more pull as they want to sell you another truck :)

Mine were also warrantied at 3500 miles for chunking. The tire manufacture took the claim and warrantied mine. Ford really doesn't get involved, although mine was done at the dealer.

Just an update that my tires were replaced under warranty and nothing charged to me. Ford also warrantied one of my fender flares which had an issue with the clear bubbling (it looked like a blister about the size of a dime). Overall a good day! :)

Thats great, glad that went so easy for you. I usually have to put up a little more of a fight but then again there is another advantage you have.

Good news! Did they replace them with the same S compound BFG's or the R compund?
