I'm going to do this at some point. I ordered the parts from the link in this thread to Tasca Parts. It is on its way.

Since I can't find the actual TSB anymore, and I'm out of my factory warranty I am just going to do it myself. I ordered the parts from Tasca yesterday.

Does anyone know why this is happening? Are the socket pins too sloppy causing arcing and heating? If that's the case, why only fuse #27? It's really hard to understand why this isn't a recall item. Certainly looks like a fire hazard.

Yet another victim

I live in Washington and I was skiing at Stevens pass, now for anyone that doesn't know highway two is a very dangerous road. Very curvy and little or no shoulder on a lot of it. I was on my way down in my raptor that has 16,600 miles on it. We just rounded a corner when I lost power and my engine turned off, then my steering went out and I somehow drifted off to the only part that has a shoulder for miles (thanks to God). I could have died if it was any earlier because going 65 into a very small k rail isn't going to do much to stop a heavy truck from going over it... I called ford roadside assistance and the only address I could give them for where I was located was a ranger station, sure enough they got the wrong ranger station and I ended waiting 2 hours for a tow truck. An hour into being stuck my dad reached me and we were going through why it wasn't starting when it was cranking. I have for a long time looked at this site and it is EXTREMELY useful but I never made an account, so here I am making one and sure enough I found the same fuse problem here, I pulled 27 out in pieces and it is shot. It was too bad to put in a spare fuse. So the tow truck took it and I'm guessing the dealer will look at it tomorrow. I'm curious to see what they say about it. Ford should recall it. I was shaking for a good hour because of the thought on how I could have a died if it was any other time then after rounding that corner.....
