They say it's cheaper. But I'm sure the install costs quite a bit if you had a shop do it. Looks great but I'd never cut the frame on a brand new truck.

More front clearance and it does look good. GEN1 folks cut the frame horns off to install those bumpers all the time. Its no different with the GEN2's. Bear in mind though as you might have already noticed, you have to relocate the innercooler which is more than the bumper and the adaptive cruise control module if you have that too.

This reasonable priced bumper and any frame cut bumpers will be a lot pricier than what it used to be for the GEN1.

Picture of someone who cut their GEN2 frame horns for this bumper. It really isn't that bad to do. Tape it up with blue painters tape, draw the lines and cut. There is an RPG video showing how to do it for a GEN1 but the principal is the same.

Is there a thread where this pic can from?

Downside here? I don't think it's safety from the looks of what you are cutting off, but please tell me why I am thinking about it wrong. Warranty voided? Resale? Insurability compromised? Love this bumper but wouldn't do anything that would screw me later.

I will send you a PM of my personal experience with a frame cut bumper.
