I'd be down for a dry sump system.

I would have thought being an SVT vehicle it would have been mandatory for a dry sump system????

I mean the Corvette LS7 motor is dry sump'd and it's not an SVT.

Especially the angles the oil pan sees offroading? There has already been examples of trucks shutting down due to this exact reason...

Hey Guys,

I lost my supercharged motor to oil pump gear failure, this is not a joke. i know of others as well, time will tell how the stock pump will hold up on high mileage stock trucks. its at least a $10k bill if you don't have a warranty.

No not till January. Mine is on preorder so I'll give a shout when they contact me, OK

I'm also probably going to get the ATI Harmonic balancer as the OP (rbarn) suggested, so I guess I'll be a guinea pig for this mod as well.

Can you elaborate on the ATI Harmonic balancer? I know we have the same kit so I'm wondering why your opting for the ATI unit.

I've only done a little research so far, but I have ask Whipple about the ATI balancer, they say they always had good results using them.
Whether this is needed for our unbuilt motors is a good question.

Whipple produces some serious HP motors and are pleased with ATI Harmonic Balancers.

So I figure what the hell I'm going have the front of the engine taken apart anyway.

I still have to call ATI and find out the price and what's their take on using their balancer over a stock one
other than the tolerances are much higher with ATI's.

I have done a blue printed and speed balanced engine to 7000 rpm once before
and they used an ATI balancer and drilled small holes on the back side of it to get rid of vibrations and the desired rpm I paid for.
