The XRD Ford Raptor Expedition Bed Cage is finally ready for preorder. This is the only cage that incorporates side rails to mount whatever you'd like without having to bolt into the weak inner wall metal, which would ultimately cause damage in the long run depending on weight and driving habits. The units are created at the time of order and are 100% made in the USA with Uncle Sam steel, including powder coat. (Lead time is roughly 3 weeks from creation/powder coat and shipping)

Could you place a tire & wheel so we can see what spacing looks looks like and maybe some other trail gear as well. Thanks

Not a problem, give me a week or two as I have a few other projects in the burner but will post up pics when I'm done. Right now I only have the auxiliary battery fully wired up with extra leads going to the auxiliary fuse box.

I think with this set up you could easily set up for the bed spread support.

Ssssshhhh - You're giving away an add on I'm working on along with the spare tire holder :)

Or you are quoting a line I used on my wife with a girl that one time :p What?

I am really liking what you are doing with this design. One thing that I would ask you to consider, modularity. If you could keep the clean design with some way of installing and removing accessories (like the tire holder), that would be very attractive for those of us that only need a tire mounted on the rare occasions that we go out. Then, the rest of the time, the bed area is clear and open to use for the normal duties of hauling building supplies for the weekend projects, helping friends move furniture, etc.

At first I thought it was on a roller type set up. That would be cool.

That would be interesting...

Since you kind of let the cat out of the bag; The racks will be shipped with mounting holes for the future accessories - tire mount and bed spread support. This will be a bolt on and off option to make sure it's really secure for usage.

So, if you want the rack now you can go for it and later on get the add on tire mount and "possible" bed spread option. I will put a tire on the bed later to show it without the accessory for "strap-on" installation.
