Hey guys I'm looking for some feed back on the stainless works exhaust. What you guys prefer the y pipe or the x !? Also it this the only company that makes a "true dual" set up !? Any body have the x pipe true dual from SW !?

We sell a bunch of them, and the customers are always happy. The X-pipe is only if you get headers. SW has a price increase coming the first of the year. If you want an awesome deal, call us @ 443-730-9428. Thanks!

The X-pipe design as stated only works with our true dual exhaust setup which is a pair of long tube headers, 3" x-pipe, dual mufflers and dual tailpipes. Its really nice setup, all 304L stainless steel, even the packing inside the mufflers is stainless.

Do you see performance gains between the headers with x pipe "true dual" setup and the headers with y pipe

You'll typically see the X pipe / true dual design show its stuff at higher RPMs. When the exhaust pulses from each cylinder bank pass through the X pipe, there is a siphoning effect that further helps to scavenge exhaust gasses from the cylinders. As the revs climb, the exhaust pulses from each cylinder bank get closer together and will start fighting each other for real estate with a single exit or Y pipe design. With a more complete emptying of the cylinders it allows the engine to take a deeper breath, so to speak, to create more power.

Typically the long tube headers themselves will promote better scavenging down low and exhausting the gasses through even a restrictive Y pipe isn't a problem. When the revs start climbing you would likely notice a measurable yet relatively modest increase in power with the X pipe / true duals. The SW headers themselves are the biggest piece of the puzzle for adding power. X pipe, Y pipe or H pipe after that will each hold its own benefit and effect on the final exhaust tone. The X pipe is generally believed to reduce cabin drone and the Stainless Works 3" true dual exhaust will handle HP numbers most Raptor owners can only dream of.

make sure your tips are all the way out from under the truck. I moved mine about a half inch and it fixed the drone. I do think it settles some but it only takes a rough road for a few miles. then no change for 15k so far I love it.

you can see on this video how it's out from under.

you may have it. the set up was a crew cab sold to me in error so we had to modify aft of the x pipe to fit our scab
we will need to mandrel bend the tail pipe to raise the exit about three inches and this will move it a little further out as well.
