Helmet Requirement for Texas Raptor Run

After much thought and many discussions with people in the industry, and the ranch owner himself, it has been decided that helmets will be required for the Texas Raptor Run. The final decision was made by the ranch owner himself, so it isn't up for discussion. Safety is paramount, with the number of Raptors attending, and the speeds that will be attainable on the course a helmet is a must, not a maybe.

The helmet will only need to be DOT rated, but I suggest snell SA. Connor with Outlaw can get a DOT open face for around $60, and I worked a deal with UPR racing supply for an open face SA2010 helmet. If you are interested in the UPR one, PM me for a coupon code to get it for $129.00.

I know this sort of throws a wrench into things with the event fast approaching, and I apologize for that, but at the end of the weekend I want to see everyone leaving on their feet.

Please feel free to suggest helmets or places to buy them. I will have some of the UPR ones for sale at the event in various sizes if anyone needs one last minute.

Just to reiterate. Everyone inside a Raptor on the track will be required to have a helmet on.

Just got off the phone with Connor, he can do a group buy on helmets, but he doesn't really stock them. If you need a helmet and want the DOT open face, let me know and I will work on a group buy, should be able to get final pricing by early next week.

only DOT - no year?

From my understanding DOT helmets dont expire legally, but they suggest 5 years.

everyone riding in a raptor on course will be required to wear a helmet.

Outlaw is black only. UPR is white only.
