Weak detent for doors

Anyone have any ideas how to make the first detent or catch as you're opening the door a little stronger? Mine defaults to wide-open, dent-making mode any time I let go of it and there are many times I'm getting out of my truck with an armload.

xjr, you have one heck of a memory... forgot all about that one...

But I did hear a rumor that in 2011, Ford, in addition to their "digital dirt" graphics on the outside, is offering an "Anza-Borrego Mud" upholstery option for the seats...
