One thing to take into consideration is that not only do the cams help get the truck in spec, they keep it there. If you were to hit a curb or a rough pot hole it can knock your truck out of alignment or if you take your truck off road. Over the last desert we did, a lot of guys knocked their alignments out. But, mine is exactly the same as before I went out.

Just curious, how does the cam kit mechanically prevent the alignment from going out? Also, what kind of pot holes are you hitting? :)

Never mind, I looked at it and understand how it helps maintain alignment. If I find a pothole large enough to knock my alignment out, I'll get some cam kits.

I didn't see anything in here regarding ride height and the alignment.

According to Pirate Air:
From stock up front, to a perch mod or the Fox 3.0's. The alignment would be the same for any ride height. Although, depending on how high up it is it maybe tough to get the camber and caster were it should be, because you run out of adjustment. Get it close and it should be good.

Hope this helps.

Alignment cams...

i called a local shop today about doing the mid perch adj. and they said i "needed" alignment cams along with the adj or it will have to be done sometime in the future. Anyone else here of this or is this a load of crap?

I'm on top with no alignment cams so it can be done without them. Having said that, I'm about 5000 miles since teh adjustment and I think I need an alignment already.

I think I'm going to order the kit from SDHQ and go down to middle perch. Ride at the top is a little harsh and the UCA's are at a pretty extreme angle.
