Sometimes my truck has an awkward shift, but that usually occurs when I am rolling into or off of the throttle. I assume the transmission has an eco, normal, and aggressive map depending on throttle input. Rolling into or out of the throttle might cause the map to change mid-shift, leading to this awkward feeling. I don't have any clunking or anything else alarming, just a less smooth shift usually when I am at mid-throttle.

Ford put the V6 Ecoboost in a $500,000 supercar, if they didn’t put a 7.0L V8 in that, then I doubt they’ll put one in a pickup.

Try to ignore the trolls. Only 2,500 miles on mine but running great and absolutely love the truck!

Truck is awesome. I also have a 3rd gen Tacoma and this forum is mild compared to what happens on TW (sky is falling.lol).

It’s more than the transmission... you will have better luck with it over the 3.5 ecoboost engine.

MGD has been promising this since 2016!

He knows nothing.

12,000 miles and the tranny is one of my favorite things about the truck. No problems.
