I agree 4a completly solves the acceleration skipping in the wet, but around a round a bout at reasonably speed it still slides horizontally. Defibatky the tires with 6000lbs on them I guess. My problem with 4a is the steering feel is absolutely aweful all the time. Heaven forbid trying to park at the grocery with 4a on. I would understand it from 4h, but lots of vehicles have 4a without destroying the steering.

What steering mode do you have it in? Comfort/Sport/Normal?

Wonder if that makes a difference, 4A and Comfort or Normal...4A comfort might be 'best' for you.

I change between all steering modes depending on the mood. Have not tried much changing with 4a on though as ive only used it 2x and hated it. Will try different loaded but it feels like the front tires are torque steer hopping always, not just under power but cruising or in parking lots

My truck has spent most of it’s miles in 4a, it’s no harder to park than any other truck.

" EVERY other car lets you adjust on the move, including Autobahn burners."

completely false, unless you don't count Lexus and Jaguar. Neither of mine let you do that.

"For how big the body is, they could have stuffed slightly bigger wheels/tires in there"

What do you suggest? 37" stock tires??? LOL Do you even know why the wheels are 17"? You could always put 22" wheels with spinners on if you just want to cruise the malls.

Glad you have lane assist and BLIS. Sounds like options you should have.

I guess you can put Porsche, Infiniti and Audi in that same category, 'cause neither of mine let me change memory settings on the move. I guess there's no other 'decent' car company other than Mercedes Benz.

P.S. Gen 1 Raptor is the same, so it's not something new that Ford's implemented - its been that way since 2010?

I did not realize this sillyness extended to other car companies!

If Porsche is that way now, it must have been a recent change. My 911 did not have this silly lockout.

 Who knows? It may even differ from model to model. My Porsche in question is a 2009 Cayenne Turbo. My 2009 Boxster S didn't have memory seats, so can't quite comment on that either.

To be honest though, I do think it's silly not to be able to select preset memory seats while on the move, but it's just never been a big deal? I usually figure out my seat and mirrors BEFORE I start driving away.

On occasion, however, when my OCD kicks in and I want to make sure seats and mirrors are still in my usual setting, I'll just shift to neutral for a quick second, press the memory button, and back to drive, as someone mentioned earlier.

For long road trips, if I do feel like changing around seat positions, I just do it manually. I mean, for god's sake, they're POWER seats. How hard is it to keep pushing a button till you're comfortable???

And they say our generation is entitled and lazy as frack.

The whole seat thing is ridiculous, last I checked, seats move via the power switch whether your in drive or not. Are we all so pampered these days, that a simple switch movement vs a button push is all it takes to send us into a tizzy? Heaven forbid, some people still have to grab the bar under the seat cushion to move backwards and forwards. I'll start another thread on how upset I am that the seats don't have ******* scratchers.

It takes a while to find the perfect riding position. If I have to futz around with the controls often trying to find the perfect ergonomics over and over again because memory button is locked, it's silly. the whole point of a memory button is to spare you having to fine tune each time

I did not know about the neutral trick. I'll do that from now on.

I get it. My wife is 5'1", I am not. I feel thats more the REAL reason for the memory seats. For me, its very obvious that my seat must be moved before i even attempt to fit my fat ass in!!

I also noticed that enabling comfort entry and exit forces seat into memory setting 1 when you hit start. Which is good.
