Wyoming Red Desert Run - August 8th-9th (Pre-run Jul 31st-Aug 1st)

Also guys, make sure you bring a lunch/snacks tomorrow as there will be little or no place to get anything until a dinner/snack/dessert/gas stop in Farson before heading back.

Looks like the running problem has been sorted - so fingers crossed I will be there for the main run. I have next week off to fit my Lowrance GPS and the VHF radio and plumbed in fire system

Just fyi guys...I've had a few more guys drop out and it doesn't look like any of my pre-runners will be able to make it back up for the run and I was counting on some of that experience. Not sure I want a couple of you guys travelling half way across the country and have 2 or 3 guys show up. Unless there's a real burning desire, I may just do this another time. I'm still willing to meet up and show you guys some of these trails but doesn't seem like much of a regular run anymore. Just let me know. I think I'll have a final decision by later Sunday.

Not hearing much other than from dogknat (and now upscrazy8) so here's what I'm going to do. I'm officially going to nix the Red Desert Run for this year but that doesn't mean that there won't be riding going on out in the Red Desert. I will meet whoever is at the Comfort Inn at 9 am Saturday (August 8th) for a day of riding in the Red Desert and we'll do the same on Sunday. It may or may not be exactly like days 1 and 2 depending on who's here, desire and weather but we'll be out Raptoring!

Let's just call it a get together/outing for whoever happens to show up. This is limited to whoever is still signed up and if somehow any of my pre-runners were able to make it back up.

What I won't have time for most likely by Friday is to fix all the things I'd like to fix. Better radio, new (extra) spare, amber lights, more gear, et cetera. So it'll be a get-together and not a organized 'outing'.

I took the week off to fit all the parts ready for the run, so would deffo like to get out - it doesn't have to be anything like the full run. And given my fiance isnt to keep on going full balls out off road just a saturday drive may work better to ease her in.....it might be a bit of a shock 643RWHP off road to her!
