Wyoming Red Desert Run - August 8th-9th (Pre-run Jul 31st-Aug 1st)

I got a call from Comfort Suites and they said only 3 guys have booked rooms. I think she'll will honor the reduced rate until 7/24th but did we lose a few of you guys? I have more coming up for the pre-run than I have rooms booked for the actual run.

Are you guys still planning on attending?

I just booked online one day when I was travelling about 2 months ago and used my coprorate rate that worked out the same price. although im having some serious running issues with an advancetrac warning and the truck stuck in limp mode....Grrhhh.

I'm booked at Comfort Inn for the pre-run! I wouldn't mind going on both runs if I can work it out.

Chris and I both run lighted flag whips on our trucks for the dunes. We use rear chase rack mounts for the 6' whips. I know some dunes require front bumper mounts, but since they don't have the requirements we are good. I wish they DID require flags - cause it's a lot safer for EVERYONE!

That whole pre-run week they are having a fair and rodeo in Fremont, so the hotel is pretty packed. Might be some monster trucks staying there, as there's a monster truck show Friday night at Fremont Toyota Grand Arena.

so it looks like i can make friday. where is everyone staying? i will need to find a place cheap. i will most likely be leaving saturday morning around 6am to head back to the springs

Most I think are at Comfort Inn but it's not cheap this time of the year and with the fair going on. Don't stay at Motel 6! You could try the Sundowner Station. You could take a chance on the Rodeway Inn and Suites (I think either a worker or possibly the owner has a Raptor). Super 8 Possibly. Otherwise, all will be pricey (over a $100 or rather bad parking or ones I probably wouldn't park at. If you really want a cheap place to stay, you can always pitch a tent on my property.
