Just so everyone knows:

The Island resort and Casino runs off of Eastern Time.

There will be a mandatory registration at 10pm eastern time in the Eagles room located in the Convention Center at the Island Resort and Casino we will have everyone's SnoBall 500 gear there. If we are running behind due to weather or If McManus has to take a million bathroom breaks just wait a bit longer. :drink_nl:

The Island is excited to see us roll in. I got an email from one of the managers today with a link to the article from this weekend. They're one of my clients so are familiar with my truck but "had no idea a truck could be so much fun" until she read the article with Captain Marshmallow. :)

I fully admit I'm a dork for my truck but until this press she didn't realize there are many more like me and worse!

So Jason what does it look like for gas stations up there? Will there be enough in the small town to fill all of are trucks up or what?

well i know that i am bringing two 5 gallon jugs but i was meaning while we are out and start to get low i am sure the small towns don't have big tanks so i was just wondering on whats going to happen. I sure as hell don't want to run out of gas out there. Waiting in line for people to go down the trail

Well i am just saying that winter wheeling kills mpg we will be lucky to get like 7 or 8 mpg. And then sitting waiting for the first group to get out of the way there will be some down time and i can just see the gas gauge moving down and down. I guess we will see what happens out there.

Yeah they were super friendly, they are letting me leave the diesel and trailer in the parking lot. The head of security when I called was excited to see all the trucks, and that's back when there was 10 trucks!

I discussed very briefly with Jason and believe he has planned for this. While all towns up here are small compared to where many of you are traveling from we are still spending time in or passing thru some of the bigger small towns with a good supply of gas stations.

But in the event we run low, I vote scab owners get to fill up first since our tanks are smaller! :D

Im just gonna throw this out there.

Its not like the whole UP is 10 people. It is all under control. Every decent town has multiple gas stations. Harris/Powers, Ispeming, Houghton, etc.

There will be no gas issues.

The first stop after the Casino is Ispeming. They have like 4-5 gas stations.

Then Houghton about 5 gas stations not including Hancock.

Those are the major fill up locations
