Ok it was a bitch of a job, but I am very happy with the results. Those of you that know me know I like a factory looking install.
I have a Retrax bed cover, which added a bit of challenge to this job as there is extremely limited room to reach the bolts closest to the bulkhead. The easy way would have been to just lay the light bar on top of everything and bolt it down, but it left quite a bit of gap between the light bar and the bed rails and looked like popo, so I opted to remove the Retrax, cut the plastic bed rails so the light bar recessed into it and then reinstalled the Retrax on top of the light bar. I will go to home depot tomorrow and buy some black chalk and fill in around the base and it will look perfect. I placed some thick auto double sided tape under the light bar feet, so there is no metal to metal contact.
The WSI light bar itself is sweet. Excellent build job and great powdercoated finish. I should get the rear facing ambers from Jimmy early next week and I am calling it.....DONE! at least for a few weeks....
I'll take a few more shots tomorrow after I chalk it.
