Would You Pay More $ for better Wheels?

I definitely dig the ProAm wheels but opted for the ProComp tires and wheels pictured here. I'm not a hard core racer so I did not need the strength of the ProAm's @ $750 a pop which would have cost me more than my entire ProComp set up mounted, balanced and delivered to my front door. BTW, the ProComps are American made, I checked.

I am evidently missing something. The Raptor comes with nice looking aluminum alloy wheels. They keep the tires inflated, they stay on the truck, and they're not cheap steel wheels. If there's a problem to solve, it hasn't reared its ugly head in 25,000 miles. If it's a matter of style or personal preference, I quite understand. If it's a matter of function, please enlighten me.
