I ordered a new 2014 Raptor in January and it arrived late April. I have had several issues, most are resolved, however here is one that really bothers us from a cosmetic point of view. When the detail crew at the dealership initially prepped the truck for delivery they really did a pathetic job. One of the issues was they used some sort of cleaner and dripped it on the top of the steering wheel plastic shroud and it took the coloring out of the plastic leaving a hideous whitish blotch on the top. I took in and the service guy indicated it was a blemish and they would replace it. After about one week i called and the parts guy said it was in. I then called and had to make an appointment with service. After an entire ten minutes the service tech returned my truck and said they replaced it. Well they only replaced the top portion and it is an entirely different texture and color. Of course they were closed all weekend and today because it was a holiday, tomorrow i will be back again. My question is would this **** you off? Why on gods green earth would they only order half of a part and replace it with another color?

I would most definitely be pissed, but I would also give them a second chance. I doubt they didn't notice the part was the wrong color. I would be asking them why they didn't point that out or give you the truck with the original piece and order the correct part. Did they think no one would notice.

Hey, maybe that is the original part soaked in that cleaning solution they use!:snoopfacepalm:

* LOL, could be!

* I expect they did not even realize it was a different color, hopefully they will just order both parts so they at least match. I wrote an e-mail with pictures, however my experience with Ford recently they seem to want a first hand visual for approval so i might need to drive down there again.

* Based on my observations, the staff seems like worn out robots there, just go thru the motions with no concerns or care at all. I know corporate America is changing and not for the better!
